I am selling this 1966 BJ8 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III with extreme reservation. In 1967, while in college, I had drooled over the showroom floor as I searched for the additional $500.00 needed to purchase one just like it. Sadly, I had to settle for a Triumph TR-250 instead (and the Starter nightmare that pursued). In 2007, I found this jewel within the proximity of the same showroom while attending a class reunion. Nostalgia took over. I am now willing to part with it (again, with reservation) since a good home with a bit more exercise than Sunday morning rides and car-show trips is more than it deserves. I have kept the car in an air-conditioned de-humidified garage and pampered it to all extents possible. It is rust free in all the important areas and has a strong running engine with the electric overdrive and Phase II updates. No damage, noticeable dings or scratches. The mileage of 12,792 is not traceable. All prior maintenance records as well as a history is available to the lucky bidder. A new Tonneau cover in matching interior black has been added as well as the normal maintenance performed by a local Austin Healey/Porsche dealer (BMC International Motors). Thank you for bidding on this classic unforgettable car. The successful bidder needs a deposit of $2,000.00 non-refundable amount (PayPal) within 48 hours of winning and 10 calendar days payment of the balance from the winning date with a certified or cashiers check. A 10 calendar day wait (bank enforced) will be required for the clearance of the final amount before release of the vehicle.
