Wow! This is probably the most beautiful, well constructed and best flying Breezys around. Those lucky few that have flown or ridden in one might tell you it's truely is the "most fun you can have with your clothes on!"
Less than 100 hours total time airframe and engine since new!!!
No expense was spared at getting this breezy right. All steel fabrication, jigging and welding was done by an Aeronautical Engineer/certified welder. TIG welding was used throughout and is absolutely beautiful!
Wings (PA-12) were built up new using kits purchased from Dakota Cub. Covering is Ceconite, finish on fabric surfaces is Air Tech.
Engine is Continental C-90-8 with less than 100 Hours since major overhaul with new crankshaft and new millenium cylinders, new slick mags, fresh overhaul on carb, etc. No starter or generator as in original breezy, but battery powered radio, intercom and hour meter. Direct reading fuel gauge, 18 gallon fuel tank. Wind generator installed on aircraft, but not as yet operational. Use or remove your option.
All components used in the construction of this aircraft are "Aircraft Quality." Certified Sensenich wood propeller, Cleveland wheels and brakes, stainless steel control cables, certified aircraft instruments, etc.
This Breezy was built from Unger plans and is as close to the "original" RLU-1 prototype (now residing in the EAA museum) as humanly possible. For those that know breezy plan history, which had a mistake in the tail height dimension, this aircraft has the proper tail height and other corrections/reinforcements to improve on original design.
Aircraft comes with Icom A-5 radio, pilot passenger intercom system and Garmin GPS III "Pilot" GPS.
Aircraft is single control, flown from front seat only and was built as a summer fun, giving rides machine. A&P Mechanic/Airline Captain built and flown. Cruises about 70 mph and burns around 5 1/2 gallons an hour.
The breezy is very docile and easy to fly, and comes with a seldom equaled "rush" as flying it gives the pilot and passenger unobstructed views and that open cockpit/antique aircraft feeling.
If you hit the "BUY IT NOW" button and pay for the aircraft in full using PayPal within 48 hours, I will deliver (fly) the aircraft to your airport (in the continental US) at my expense before winter sets in up here in Minnesota. This needs to be done ASAP, as temperatures are now settling in the high forties and low fifties.
Winter storage (at winning bidders expense) is possible at $165 per month. I can deliver aircaft (fly) to winning bidders location for expenses.
This is a very rare opportunity to finally get that "BREEZY" that you always wanted, built with out outstanding workmanship and the best materials to the highest standards. You will not be disappointed!
