The BlendMount was designed for vehicles that have a rear view mirror that is attached to the windshield with a round linkage (found in most vehicles) or a chili-pepper linkage (found primarily in Toyota vehicles). Either type linkage has a pivot on both ends, one pivot attaches to the windshield, the other pivot attaches to the back of the rear view mirror. As shown in the animation below, move this linkage downward utilizing the windshield pivot only. Then, adjust the mirror to your normal viewing position utilizing the mirror pivot only. If there is enough room to fit your accessory above the rear view mirror, the BlendMount is compatible with your vehicle. Not only does your Rear View Mirror's Dual Pivot System allow you to accomodate accessory height, it also provides the BlendMount feature of adjusting your Rear View Mirror and your Accessory INDEPENDENTLY of each other, achieving your desired viewing angle of BOTH the mirror and the accessory!
