This is a mobile studio trailer. I do not know who built it. I am not sure if it was factory made or shop built. I do know one of the local radio stations had this trailer in the early 70's all the way up through the 90's. KPLT here in Paris texas used this trailer for 30 plus years. I remember seeing it a remote broadcasts when I was a kid. I remember the DJ's actually playing records in it. The trailer used to be almost solid blue with a white top.. When i got it about 2 years ago it still had the old turntables in it.
We bought the trailer from the local radio station to use as a ham radio portable studio. I really didnt do that much work to it. We gave it a fresh paint job (about two years old) , put new stick on tiles on the floor, took the turntables out, cut a new peice of plywood for the desktop and carpeted it. That about it. The trailer is really in excellent shape. The interior is about 9 feet long. The original paneling and ceiling are still in the trailer. There is storage under the bench. There is a hustler 5btv antenna mounted on the front ladder. The antenna is bonded to the steel trailer for grounding and works really good. No holes were put in the trailer for the antenna. It is attached to the ladder with clamps and would be easily removed. The trailer must be insulated really well because outside noise doesnt really come in. All the glass is good. The tires are really old but hold air just fine. There are several speakers mounted on the inside to use how you wish..The inter light and AC work fine. It comes with a very long AC cord to plug in for Electricity. The are several AC outlets in the trailer. the Extior light have never been used since I have had it and I am Quite sure they are not working. It will need an electrical connector put on to plug in to the tow vehicle. Bulbs may also need replacing too.
I do not know what year the trailer was made. There is no title or VIN # Which leads me to beleave this was shop made locally. This trailer was probably made in the 60's
This is a steel skin trailer and is pretty heavy, it might be too much for a small truck.
I will have a reserve on this trailer just in case I change my mind. I really do love this thing but It has to go.
Paymyent is due in 7 days of auction close by paypal or cashiers check. Cash on pickup is ok too.
