Specifications for (MCC77) 

Material : Chrome steel , triple plated Copper / Nickel / Chrome, With Phenolic Plastic Emblems.

Emblems : approximately 1/8" thick  and are ,heat and fuel resistant .They are adhered with a thermal adhesive then baked @ 260 degrees to set the emblem in place and cannot be removed without damaging them

Thickness :  These valve covers are stamped from approximately .040 thick steel.

Application :  Big Block Ford 429 and 460 engines

Restrictions : Some 429 and 460s will need 5/16 valve cover gaskets to clear factory rocker arms

Valve Covers : This set is factory height  . Each valve cover has one hole in it for accessories. They CANNOT  be run with aftermarket roller rockers

Baffled : YES, these valve covers come with steel baffles in each

Gaskets : NO, these do not come with gaskets, Any Quality gasket made for the your engine will work on these valve covers

Valve Cover Accessories : Hold downs, breathers, PCV valves etc. DO NOT come with the valve covers but can be located on the left side links on this page and purchased separately . Each valve cover has 7 mounting holes so you will need 14, bolts or spreaders etc. when ordering for this set

Installation tips : When tightening your valve cover start on the low side and tighten in a cross pattern to the correct torque spec . Do not over tighten the valve covers when installing them!

If you would like this as a combo kit meaning valve cover and a 14 inch air cleaner use MCC62377

If you would like plain chrome  valve covers without emblems use part number MCC106
