Vehicle Description

1953 Cessna 195B, Turbocharged R755-S Jacobs Radial Engine (350 horsepower!) low time SMOH!

Airframe total time: approximately 4625 hours. Complete airframe and engine logs since new!

Engine total time since major overhaul: approximately 20 hours! Overhaul performed by Jacobs expert and type certificate holder Pete Jones/Air Repair, Inc. Cleveland, Mississippi, Engine overhauled January of 2008. All the latest Air Repair modifications were incorporated into engine during overhaul! All accesories overhauled at this time.

Propeller total time since major overhaul: approximately 50 hours by Anderson Propeller. Blades are mirror polished and full dimensions. Prop overhauled June of 2005.

Custom Barron Aviation three piece instrument panel modification!

This modification allows for "Sacred T" pilot flight instrument layout and full center stack radio set-up. Very nice!

King KCS-55A slaved horizontal situation indicator (HSI)

S-TEC Series 30 autopilot with altitude hold and S-TEC GPSS converter (integrates the autopilot with GPS navigator)

Owned and flown by professional pilot (747 Captain for major US airline) with extensive radial engine/tailwheel/antique experience. Will deliver aircraft anywhere in Continental US for expenses.

On Nov-04-09 at 08:21:44 PST, seller added the following information:

Annual inspection due November 2009. Last 2 annual inspections done by Cessna 195 expert Bill Milton/The 195 Factory LLC. Prior annual accomplished by Cessna 195 expert Barron Aviation.

Aircraft is equipped with "light" landing gear legs. This is a preference item only and does not effect the strength of the gear or the load carrying ability of the airplane. Light gear airplanes have a "softer" feel on bumpy runways and tend to dampen landings that might not be quite straight.

As with most of these airplanes (56 years old) this airplane has damage history. Aircraft was ground looped (by prior owner) on landing and sustained damage to left wing, bottom and left side of fuselage, along with engine mount and propeller. Aircraft was repaired by Bill Milton/Cessna 195 factory LLC., in Cessna factory jigs with all new parts. All old repairs were removed and replaced with new. All recommended structural modifications (the door posts, being one of them) were accomplished at that time. Aircraft had no patches and no hail damage on any of the aircraft's skin.
