This car sits on a rectangular tube chassis with a 4.88 Dana 60 rear end, "dragster" style front end with rack and pinion steering, lightweight racing front disc brakes, Mopar master cylinder, fabricated aluminum sheet metal interior with two new aluminum racing seats and covers, tilt fiberglass front end, and wheelie bars. Currently on older Firestone drag slicks, but will include a set of unmounted DOT slicks also. Wheels are vintage Centerline. I have knowledge of the original local builder as well as one of the guys who raced the car. Apparently it also was notorious at Southern California street races also. Transmission is a fresh turbo 350 with shift kit, 2800 stall converter, and a separate trans cooler radiator. Engine is currently a mild pump gas 396 big block Chevy that was freshly assembled, approximately 30 street break in miles. The engine is "dressed" as a race engine, electric water pump, MSD crank trigger ignition, alternator is driven off the crank also (no fan belts), dual electric fans on small aluminum radiator, BG 750 Demon carb, Hooker race headers, polished, fabricated aluminum valve covers, wiring and plumbing hidden as much as possible to maintain a clean look. I have never gotten around to taking the car to the track to run, and it's currently on non-op registration so I don't have to carry insurance on it. If you want a race engine instead, we can work out details to put something wilder in it, or possibly sell as a roller instead. Inspection prior to bid and purchase encouraged.
