Vehicle History Report Summary for 1987 Chevrolet Camaro
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
I am re-listing this car due to a bidder who never contacted me, or even saw the car after he won the bidding. Please only bid if you are serious about buying the car. Thanks. I purchased this car from a family friend who was the original owner. I have put on less than 20,000 miles since I have owned it. The car has original paint. I had a Viper alarm system professionally installed, changed the exhaust, the shifter (Hurst short throw), replaced the T-Top seals, the headliner, sail panels, and the sun visors. All were replaced professionally and were "updated" designed better than the original equipment. The stereo in the car was over 3k. It features a Kenwood DVD player/tv, Boston Acoustics 5 channel amp, JL Audio Pro component speakers in custom made kick panels, Boston Acoustic coaxials in the rear and Sirius Radio. The idle on the car needs to be adjusted, and needs a set of rear tires. There is a small dent on the front passenger side near the nose. It can probably be pushed out. A friend of mine bumped it while pulling out of my driveway. As I said, the paint is original but no rust is present. The car was garage kept its whole life before i purchased a couple years ago. The driver side door sags slightly when fully opened but i have the updated parts kit to fix both even though the passenger is perfect. The interior is amazing for the year of the car. To be honest, I have not taken any effort to clean the inside or the outside do to time. I do not want to get rid of this car, but I have ran into financial trouble and have no choice. This TPI Camaro has a 5 speed manual transmission which was only available with the 305 engine for all of the 3rd generation Camaros. The car also has a rare optional rear end from the factory. It is a Borg Warner 9 bolt which came equipped with lower gears which are much faster than the norm. This camaro also has four wheel disc brakes. Because of the options including stereo and color scheme rarity, this car is the one to own. It is the NICEST color option available that year(black & gold), and performance wise it is the most desired this year. The 350 was only available in an automatic, and you can't have a real muscle car without a manual, we all know that. I will update the listing if I think of any other things. I also have a brand new set of sub-frame connectors still in the box that I purchased when I first bought the car. I planned on keeping forever and building the motor, how ever as I stated previously due to financial reasons, I have not had the time or money to keep the car, never mind doing anything to it that I planned on. There are also a set of Chevrolet seat covers included. If I remember or see anything else in my garage that I have, I will also list and include. On Oct-19-09 at 10:24:21 PDT, seller added the following information: This car is equipped with the TPI 305. The car/power train were kept mostly original because there were not many made with these options. Thanks for looking. On Oct-19-09 at 10:40:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I have owned the car for around 3 1/2 years. It was purchased in CT from the original owner who was a family friend. Due to a divorce I am living in NJ but have never switched the car over due to insurance prices. CT only has emissions, and no inspection. Only thing needed to pass NJ inspection should be a set of rear tires. Thanks for looking. I wanted to update the listing with my findings. I removed the bra after answering a question/comment someone had sent me about the dent on the front passenger side fender. After removing the bra, I took a few more pictures and have added them to the gallery. I rinsed the dirt off the front, so water is present on the front, not paint fade. I was pretty surprised to notice there was no difference in paint or fade. The fender is the only damaged/dented part on the car. As you can see, the hood is in perfect shape. I also noticed there is a little spot of primer or undercoat, NOT RUST on the nose after removing the bra...The bra was on before the fender was dented, and appeared to be perfect while on...The car is still in good condition, and I felt the need to check everything over with the bra off...People have emailed me about shipping, and I wanted to make sure everyone knows what they are getting. The car needs very little to be perfect. Sorry for the delay in these pictures. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
