Thanks for looking at this beautiful 1969 Camaro RS SS396 in original Hugger orange, with a 396 375HP
4 speed. Let me start off by saying this has been in the hands of one owner for the last 15 years. Though an older restoration the car still looks amazing. If you like cars that retain all the factory original sheetmetal, then you need to come look at this beauty. Nice clean unpatched under carriage, factory original doors, fenders, quarters, etc. Did I mention the car has 29850 original miles as of this weekend.
The 396 375HP engine has been rebuilt to factory specs with two exceptions, the compression ratio has been lowered to 10:1 to accept todays low octane fuel and a set of over-the-counter GM aluminum cylinder heads. The rock crusher Muncie m-22 4 speed trans and 12 bolt 3.73 posi rear end were overhauled at the same time. The car has had one repaint about 16 years ago, at this time it was thoroughly painted including the removal and detailing of the subframe and the under carriage was painted a low gloss black, it still looks dynamite today. The interior is original and is indicative of a 29 thousand mile car, not perfect but still shows great. There was a Flowmaster 2.5" dual exhaust added recently along with stainless tailpipes.
Options include Endura front bumper, working RallySport headlamps, AM/FM radio, tilt steering column, factory gauges, power steering, power disc brakes, and black deluxe interior. Very nice collectible car that is nice enough to locked away in a collection but not to the point that you couldn't drive and enjoy it at the same time. , I bought the car in 1994 because it was a nice original car with 27000 miles at the time, I bought it from the third owner.Obviously this car is listed with a reserve, though I'm not ready to give it away, I feel that had I let it go several years ago it would be bringing twice what I'm looking to get. Please bid what you are willing to pay, I'm not really interested in disclosing the reserve right now but lets just throw this out there for the bottom feeders, 30k won't buy it.
