1972 Chevelle Heavy
Chevy. This is a rare muscle car. The Heavy Chevy was only produced in the last half of 1971 and
1972. On the Heavy Chevy there were no emblems only stripes and stickers noting the model. They came with the Chevelle 300 interior, full floor rubber mat instead of carpet, bench seat, 300 series door panels and upholstery . The vin # on the Heavy Chevy starts with 1C37 while the The number matching engine block has been
rebuilt with a stroker kit making it 383 cu.in. Big valves, roller rockers and
a nasty cam, (this thing moves) topped off with Airgap manifold, Speed Demon
carb, MSD Distributor, headers & complete exhaust with cross-over pipe and
flowmasters. Large capacity aluminum radiator and recent battery. Car also has
power steering and power disc brakes. This car has also been equipped with an alarm system. The trans is a rebuilt M22 4 speed that shifts flawlessly. Rear end is a 12 bolt posi-traction and is also rebuilt. The engine, trans and rearend have approx. 2k miles on them per previous owner. The body retains it’s
original panels (fenders, doors, hood, trunk and quarters.) The original color
was code 65 = Orange Flame. Most of these cars had the non-functional cowl hood
This one was ordered with the flat hood . The silver paint on this car is 15+ years old and there is a minimal amount of bubbles under the paint at the rear quarters. There does not appear to be any rust out around rear window. (see pics) The interior is in good condition and retains the full floor
rubber mat as well as the original door panels. The floor mat is starting to
show its age, the door panels are in very good condition. (FYI these door
