special.This one has always been over
99% RUST FREE.It originally came from
the factory as a V-8 Malibu, and is now ready to become a Super Sport Clone. Even has a fresh and available 396 with 4 Speed.
I recently installed a steel Super
Sport Hood, replaced the rust free right rear quarter panel (due to a large
dent), replaced the frame to body bushings, and put on a nice Grant GT Steering
Wheel.
The glass is all complete, but the
wind-shield has small cracks. The floors are extremely solid and rust free.New carpet, door panels, and a head-liner
will make this car very nice.
Car comes with parts not currently installed: power steering gear
box and linkage, power brake booster, Big Block Frame Mounts, spare dash with
wiring, new rear springs, 4 spare springs, nice spare front bumper, original
radio, mallory unilite distributor, holly carburetor, bumper filler panel, misc chrome trim and a few plastic interior pieces.
The available engine is a 1966 HP
396 motor from a 4 speed Chevelle. Add
$1,500 for engine and transmission. The
block has been shot-peened , and looks brand new, with a 30 over bore and hone.All passages have been carefully cleaned, with new cam bearings,
freeze plugs, and galley plugs.The high
performance oval port heads (casting numbers shown) were then decked and
cleaned, with several guides being replaced, while a fresh valve grind was
done.The Saginaw 4 speed is robust, and
was rebuilt about 5,000 miles ago.Add $1,500 for engine and
transmission.
-Also with motor:Edelbrock Torker II
Intake Manifold, Holley Carb, Mallory Unilite Distributor with wires, oil pan,
chrome valve covers, chrome timing chain cover, and crank-shaft (inspected, and
ready to be machined).No rotating assembly included.

shown during various phases of machine work. For transport, I would be
happy to wrap each piece and safely pack them inside the car/trunk.
I didn't have time to fix the door
dings and tiny dents before wet weather set in, so I had the entire body sealed
in "Rat Rod Black" sealer with a little grey paint added in.
Actually looks pretty good as is. My
original plan was to install bucket seats with a console, but changed my mind
after purchasing this 4 speed transmission that’s already setup for a bench (but
will work with buckets too).I just have
too many projects…
