1969 SS396 Chevelle

SOLD AS ROLLING CHASSIS

The motor, transmission and driveshaft will not go with the car. The car will include the 12 bolt posi rear with factory 3:23 gears, trans crossmember and exhaust system. The car has power steering and power front disc brakes. Please don't ask if this is a real SS396 car or not!! I have no build sheet to prove it! All 1969 Chevelles are 136 car's so there is no way to tell. It does have all the right stuff but I don't know so it's being sold as a Chevelle with SS emblems. The car has a nice interior. The front buckets are redone with new carpet, nice headliner with original SS door panels and the dash was recovered. The dash does have the SS gauges with tach built in. The back seat is original and not recovered but not ripped up. The body needs a paint job and has some bubbles in spots but overall very solid. Please look at the pictures there is some plastic in the quarters but the rest is solid. The fenders have been replaced and the drives side is a 68 so the maker light is wrong. The SS hood has some small bubbles in the very front lip. around the back window is nice and solid. The floors are starting to get some rust in spots and there are some patches from the top. The frame is nice and solid. The trunk pan looks good but does have a lot of undercoating. It will need all the soft seals replaced. all the glass is in nice shape and windows roll up and down nice. The car goes down the road nice and strait and I'm now in the posses of removing the motor and trans from the car it will be ready before the auction is over to have a new home. 	Q: there is a way u can tell if the gas tank has not been dropped, thats where the build sheet is it will tell u exactly what the car is. dropped the tank on my 72 monte there it was. A: I know I've found them in different places over the years. I just don't have the time right now to be ripping the car apart. I have 2 other projects that's why I'm selling the car.	Nov 06, 2009
