You are viewing a corvette that had a restoration started last year and the owner gave up on it after disassembly, restoring the frame,stripping the paint off and primering the body.I purchased the car last spring to finish the restoration. I had the seats restored professionally a few months ago but the rest of the interior needs replaced. This car sustained flood damage a few years ago(Katrina), and states so on the Mississippi title.The dash pad was ruined as were some of the gauges and will need replaced. Someone installed a toggle switch in the center console by the clock area. The clock was ruined and discarded.The door panels are driver quality.The black soft top could use a good cleaning.The package tray has been repainted. This is a 2 top car but I didn't get a hard top in the sale.The chrome bumpers need refreshed, I am not sure of the rest of the brightwork.New tail lamp assemblies have been purchased and look much nicer than the originals. You may have both sets if wanted. The windshield and side glass was removed during disassembly and could probably use new weatherstripping. I was told the car was complete before the restoration was started. Wonder Bar radio is missing I believe.Included in the sale is a 1960 283 engine with powerglide tranny from another car. The engine is missing the carb and will need to be rebuilt as it went through a house fire. It is an 10-1959 block and does not have a VIN stamp on the pad as is correct for an earlier production car.No tranny came with the car but I have a 3 speed saginaw if you want it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
