1966 was the first year for the 427 Corvette, which came in with a bang at a top rating of 425 horsepower. A four-speed L72 convertible with F41 suspension and Posi traction 3.70 rear end was a peerless road car. Finding one as described is not an easy thing, but this restored Silver Pearl convertible is all that and more. Prior to its meticulous restoration, the car was evaluated for its originality and confirmed as a no-hit specimen with all the factory-bonding strips intact. The original paint was carefully removed by hand to uncover all the unique factory finishes and bonding strips.

The matching numbers driveline is superbly detailed. Overall fit and finish of the Silver Pearl body and Black interior are both very impressive, better than new.

Just as it was when it left the factory, this gleaming convertible is optioned with the aforementioned F41 suspension and Posi rear axle, power steering and AM/FM radio, and it rolls on 7.75x15 Gold Line tires on Knock Off wheels.

With 20,615(not actual) miles on the clock and only 5000 miles on a first-class restoration, this is a striking first-year 427 and has great award potential.
