1964 Chevrolet Impala
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
RIMS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Car sold AS-IS unless noted as under warranty in description. Some parts are still under warranty. The transmission warranty is out but I will provide the receipt of all the work done on the transmission rebuild, headers, and hoses from 2008. The transmission was rebuilt in 2008 but I didn't take it out of storage for the next year. It's still a pretty fresh rebuild as far as miles on the transmission. Bidders with less than 5 feedback please contact me prior to bidding. ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING. Don't win the auction and start asking 100 questions trying to back out of the sale. I will answer any questions and take any additional pictures needed. I will take a pic of the damaged rim. This is an original 1964 Chevy Impala. V8 283 with 2 speed powerglide.
I purchased the car years ago in Ringgold,GA in 2001 and have been slowly restoring it. I will attempt to list everything I've replaced so far. I'll try to list parts in the order they were either purchased or installed. Work done in Chattanooga. First had the engine removed and the engine bay painted. New distributor,wires, and plugs.(2001) Had a new heater core installed.(2003) Had the radiator cleaned and new thermostat. Work done in Knoxville at Napa Automotive on Lockett Rd. Had the edelbrock carb installed.(2003) Set or brand new tires. There are less than 500 miles on the original rim and tires. I have two of the original hubcaps with the centers and one without. Someone got away with one because I had all four when I purchased the car. Chrome starter and water pump installed.(2004) Had new timing chain, intake manifold, chrome valve covers, and competition cams.(2004) Bud and Petes in Knoxville did the interior(2004). Had the seats,doors, and rear deck reupholstered(2004). Had a new headliner and carpet installed(2004). Had dual flowmasters installed.(2005) Brake conversion. Front drums removed and replaced with Chrome disc and a Chrome Master Cylinder.(2005)
Work done in Chattanooga within the last 18 months. The fan shroud was sent off to be chromed and it came back something entirely different. Watch out what chrome plating company you use. Had new chrome water hoses, chrome fan and chrome pulley installed. Had the original powerglide rebuilt by City Autoservice on Washington St. on Sept. 2008. Maxi Muffler installed the exhaust headers. Sept 2008. It was in storage for a year after that until recently. I've had a new fuel tank, fuel filter, fuel pump(under warranty), new battery(under warranty), and fuel sending unit(under warranty) installed. New chrome trim inside around the headliner minus the two pieces that hold the rear view mirror. Those two pieces were missing from my Chrome. Replaced the rear bumper. The original was pitted and very dull. I still have it if you want it for a spare. New mirror installed on the driver side. The car is sitting on the original rims only. I have the hubcaps in the house. I am selling the car because I can't afford to insure the car and don't want the car to deteriorate anymore. All of this restoration was over a period of eight years. The trunk lock was poked out by thieves who stole the side chrome, emblems, and impala letters I had stored in there. I think I listed everything. NO I will not ship the car ANYWHERE. I am taking all reasonable offers. I'm including pictures and a link of a video of the car running. I also labeled the pictures with any problems or concerns I have with the car. I was saving the paint job until the very last. I also have a 4 oz HOK Realistic True Fire Kit by Mike Lavellee.
