1980 Chevy Malibu 2-Door 383 Stroker
A 383 Stroker is a chevy engine!!
Engine: Chevy 2-bolt main 350 c.i.d. bored .30 over clearanced for Eagle (cast) rotating stroker assembly, World Products “Motown” cylinder heads 64cc chambers/roller tip rockers/220 cc runners (have not been ported or polished), Isky camshaft (summit p/n 201027) solid lifters/stock pushrods, ceramic coated Edelbrock “performer RPM” intake…..THIS ENGINE HAS LESS THAN 1,500 MILES ON IT !!
Fuel: Demon 780 cfm carburetor, hi-flow Holley mechanical pump, in line fuel pressure gauge note: this car runs on pump gas
Cooling : 3-core stock radiator (brand new), 1 large fan on rear of radiator/2 smalls on the front they are engaged with sensor and all new hoses heater core is not hooked up for appearance sake but you could hook up if you wanted to.
Ignition: MSD 6al box mounted behind front bumper, Mallory HEI distributor & coil, Taylor wires all stuff is new!
Exhaust: Hedman headers ceramic coated, 2 ½ in. Flowmaster 2-chambered exhaust exits out the rear note: this car does not have catalytic converters on it
Transmission: FB Performance inc. TH350 “street strip”, 10” stall converter, B&M shifter the tranny is not new I have had it for a while but it is in perfect running order it does not have a separate cooler it goes through the radiator like stock.
Rear Axle: Gm 8.5” posi rear end out of 86 Buick Grand National 4:10 aftermarket gears
Driveshaft: stock OEM shortened for 8.5 rear end
Suspension & Brakes: Air shocks in rear to account for big rear wheels, 2 ½” drop spindles in front for appearance other than that everything is stock
Wheels & Tires: Weld racing lightweight wheels no wheel locks, Futura tires?? I don’t really give a crap about tires they have plenty of tread on them their in good shape but they are cheapos!!
Interior & Body : o.k. the interior and body on this car are not perfect but their pretty damn close I’m not going to list every little imperfection so please make sure to look at the pictures and ask questions if need be now…..I will list some things: The carpet is aftermarket it has some wrinkles and bubbles not the greatest fit but looks nice, the aforementioned B&M shifter, 5” tach with built in shift light (old school), the front seats are out of a Monte/the rear seat is stock repadded & reupholstered it came out awesome, the dash is stock & yes it is cracked but still looks pretty good, headliner is falling down a little bit tried to fix and it fell down again now I got thumbtacks up there??? What r u gonna do you know?? Three autometer 2 5/8” mechanical gauges Voltmeter/Watertemp/Oil P. Grant Steering wheel w/ proper horn kit
o.k. now the paint is really sweet looking the paint job is at least 10 years old but doesn’t look it at all…..its not perfect though there is a few spots of light surface bubbling the worst of which is in the inner front lip of the hood make sure to look at the pics. There are no alterations structurally to the body at all
Extras : I have a lot of receipts with this car you can take also I have an appraisal of the car done in 2002 where it was appraised for $9,800.00 that was done before the new engine and ignition etc….it still has a donut in the trunk in good shape also the original jack & wrench
Chrome : As you can see by the under the hood pics you can take this thing to any car show you want and draw a crowd if it can be chrome it is chrome !!!
Back round : This car is not and has never been my daily driver it has always been garaged and driven maybe once or twice a month just cruising I don’t and have never raced the car and it has never had the you know what beat out of it!!! I have had this car for at least ten years I bought it from a guy in Connecticut who did all the body work on it nice but left it with a weak 305 engine stock tranny stock rear end crappy wheels and it didn’t even have an interior in it…….I bought it and did everything else to it and when I made the move from Massachusetts to Florida I brought it with me…the reason I’m selling this car is I have simply lost interest in it it’s an awesome car but I never drive it anymore I take it out of the garage once a month take it for a ride wash it and put it back in the garage.
