I am a proud owner of a 2005 SlingShot Yellow SSR and I like quality SSR accessories. I know you will like these letters also. I made the original pattern for these letters by hand sawing and hand filing them to shape from aluminum sheet. It was a process that took me nearly 20 hours to complete. I then made a digital pattern from the original letters and I now reproduce them using a CNC Laser to precisely cut the letters from 1/8 inch thick aluminum sheet. They are finished with Eastwood HotCoat Powder Coatings. You can buy these SSR Under Hood Logo letters knowing that they will fit the molded SSR Logo recesses in the under hood insulator blanket EXACTLY and give your ride a unique look.

They are made to fit the molded-in SSR logo found in the under hood insulator blanket of the 2003-2006 Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster). The ultimate engine compartment accessory! Installation under the hood: Attachment of the SSR logo letters to the under hood blanket is done with 3M^TM Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive 08008 (Not Included) which is available at most auto parts stores. I found that it is easiest to remove the hood blanket and use some weights on the letters until completely cured (about a day). But the instructions on the tube show how to use it like contact adhesive so it is possible to install the letters without removal of the insulator blanket.

Installation in trunk lid: The aluminum SSR logo letters can also be used as a nice accent on the under side of the trunk lid as shown in the photos below. Attachment to the under side of the trunk lid is done with black Industrial Strength Velcro which is available at most craft stores.

You could use self adhesive magnetic sheet material or automotive type double stick tape to install the letters almost anywhere else you desire. The sides of the SSR fenders? How about refrigerator magnets? Garage wall decoration? Or, an SSR beer cooler? Make it your creation the way you want it.
