1981 DeLorean DMC-12

Simply put this Delorean is in immaculate condition. There are 3 specific reasons why this Delorean stands out- vehicle documentation, overall condition and service history. I am the second owner of this car. Prior to my ownership the car was part of a private owner's collection in Texas. The car was properly stored for 20 years by the first owner. When I took ownership all documentation were passed along and car was sent to the Delorean Motor Company in Florida where it was completely sorted out to bring it back to daily driving condition. The overall condition for this car is showroom. The facias are straight and the stainless is perfect and the car does not have a single ding anywhere. The hood is perfect and has no "X". The wheels are ding free and have not been grinded. The interior is flawless and the original leather seats still have their ripples. The binacle and dash are in perfect condition. Carpet is like new. Everything works on this car, including all electricals. A/C is ice cold as well. As you raise the door the car still smells new! In the interest of total disclosure, the only ding on the car is on the lower louvre (please see picture) If this bothers anyone DMC Texas has NOS louvres available. As mentioned earlier, this Delorean was sent to DMC-FL and has receipts totaling $16,875. After 20 years of sitting the car had to be properly sorted. I intended to drive the car more frequently than I have, which is why I had the car completely checked out from top to bottom and replace where needed. The three major upgrades I made were for the Eibach suspension, 140 speedo and the radio head unit was upgraded with the Alpine iPod unit. I will of course include the original radio with the purchase as well as the original NCT's for those interested in entering a concours. Feel free to contact DMC-FL as they are familiar with this car. Here is a breakdown of what was done: On August 1, 2007 with 4,800 miles here is a breakdown of all major services: clean fuel tank new fuel pump new fuel sender replacement of all hoses and belts on the car rebuilt exchange fuel distributor replace six injector nozzles battery replace all door and compartment struts replace waterpump relay update kit major service kit replace tie rod end boots replace clutch master cylinder S.S clutch line frequency valve assy replace flexible fuel line overhaul all four brake calipers and flush hydraulic system replace outside mirrors relace both doors outer door seals and replace driver's side inner door seal all headliners recovered 4 new matching Dunlop GT tires (rears are 235's) replace all fluids and recharge A/C install Alpine iPod head unit and replace all 4 speakers replace glass, fixed drivers side install Eibach spring/shock set header bottle/metal floor mats/grey thermostat balljoint, lower mode switch 140 speedo installed adjust torsion bar on both doors master cylinder/brake replace steering column bushing replace oil sending unit
