This is a front steering head base assembly for a 748 that should fit 916 and 996 models that have 50mm forks.  Check with the dealership to determine if the other models (996/916) are matching.  The part number is "342.2.010.1A Steering head base assembly"  But note that this auction only includes the base as seen in picture.  I bought this to replace on my motorcycle but ended up not needing it.  I'm cleaning out my garage now and selling everthing I don't need. 

  The item is in great shape as you can see in the pic.  There is a ding on one of the turn stoppers (that you can see in the middle of the pic) but since the stopper goes way lower than the ding, it won't affect it's use or operation.
