1970 R/T 440, 4 Speed Clone This is my Sublime 72 Challenger Cloned to a 1970 R/T U code (440 Big Block, 4 Speed Trans) The rear tail light section, and front end sheet metal was removed from a 1970 doner car. The only way to tell its a 72 is by the vin, I even enter it in shows as a 70 R/T clone; & it still wins a trophy from time to time. I'm about 90 to 95% done with the look I was going for (Pro-Touring). I have nearly $3000 in the wheel & tires alone not to mention the custom / professionally installed all Alpine Stereo system (Sounds Amazing). I have new Carpet waiting for install, also new shifter boot, and new chrome shifter boot trim ring. I have the original bucket seats; if you want them they are in another auction. The bumpers could either be replaced or re-chromed...your choice, I was going to replace with new & sell these. Im not going to install the new parts that come with it. My local mechanic says It also needs a set of good head Gaskets, so I've got my reserve lowered to compensate for a pro to do the job. This car is Very Fast, and turns heads everywhere it goes, you wont be unhappy with this car. I didnt paint the car, but it was originally blue as you can see from the pictures of the door panels through the speaker holes someone cut out before I got the car. Muscle Car Clone prices are on the rise due to the real 1 of what ever cars prices in the 6 figures area, purchasing a clone is the way of affording one of these old muscle cars without the huge dollar figures they're going for. I'm selling the car because I need the money to complete my sons 1st car, and I have too many irons in the fire with several projects going on at the same time. I'm actually selling 2 cars to complete one, I have a 76 Camaro in another acution starting in a day or so from this one. If you have any questions; call or email me, if I dont answer just leave me your name amd number & I'll return your call.... 309-269-9534 my Name is Dave. Now details about the car: * 70 R/T Clone, car is actually is a 72 on the title What I had on my list to complete the car: * New Bumpers On Nov-02-09 at 16:10:14 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to add at time of listing.... * 2 1/2" Duel Exhaust, with Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers; With new Stainless Challenger Exhaust Tips from PG Classic.
