Vehicle History Report Summary for 1969 Dodge Charger
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
UP FOR AUCTION IS A SHARP LOOKING 1969 DODGE CHARGER RT/SE (REAL XS29L CAR) WITH A 440 BIG BLOCK THAT IS READY TO HIT THE STREETS. GREAT MOPAR THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Factory options: Power steering Manual Brakes Bucket seats Dual exhaust 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission on the floor 440ci big block V8 engine 8 3/4" rear end with 4:11 gears Custom 17" American Racing style wheels (NOT included but available at an extra price) Hood pins Rear bumblebee stripe In-dash clock Vehicle comes from NJ where it has been with the previous owner for the last few years. The car does not appear to have ever been completely restored, in fact during my initial inspection it showed signs of having had some racing history during the late 70s and 80s. The last owner did some work on it here and there to get it running some years back and drive it around as a beater. I got it last year and really cleaned the car up as much as I could. The carburetor was adjusted properly. Brakes were checked and bled. New gas tank installed and gas lines claned up. Some trim and chrome was replaced. Custom 17" wheels and performance tires added (wheels are NOT included with the car, but are available separately for an additional price). New Flowmaster exhaust was installed. The front seats were reupholstered and interior received set of door panels front and rear. I then sent the car out to my bodyshop who lightly wetsanded and buffed the paint to bring out some of the old shine in it. As it is now, the car is a nice presentable driver that you can get in and have a lot of fun with around town. Interior is in GOOD condition with only normal general wear. Seats are very nice. Carpet a little faded but presentable. Door panels new. Headliner in good shape. Dash is pretty decent (dash pad looks great). Package tray has speaker holes and needs replacing. Overall a presentable driver quality interior. Under the hood lies a stock 440ci/375hp motor with 727 automatic transmission and 8 3/4" rear end with 4:11 gears. Motor has been lightly built with racing "loopy idle" camshaft, aluminum intake manifold, Holley double-pumper 750cfm carburetor, Accel Super Coil and some other minor internal upgrades, as well as a chrome appearance package as you can see. Transmission is mostly stock with a B&M ratchet shifter on the floor. Mechanically the car is TURN-KEY. Starts at the turn of the key and runs/drives great. LOTS of stock power overall and brakes stop VERY WELL. Nice and solid with excellent suspension & shocks all around. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it around town easily. Exhaust sounds great as well. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up FAIRLY for a presentable driver with normal chips/scratches/touch-ups/dings here and there as you would expect. Looks to have had rear quarters (at least the lower halves) replaced a long time ago, and they're still holding up fine. Panel fit could be a little better. Some bubble clusters by lower rocker/rear quarter front section on the driver's side. Rear lower valence panel has a lot of filler and some cracks and should be replaced. Inner door jambs have some rust by the rocker on passenger side. Lower door corners have some bubbles and a small hole on the inside on passenger side door. Rear inner drop-offs have rust. Trunk pan has some previous patches here and there and a metal section welded towards the back for added support. Floorboards appear pretty solid with some surface rust and perhaps a few pinholes (front ones appear to have been replaced with stock panels not too long ago, but the didn't cut out the old floors completely when putting them in). Could use some electrical upkeep as dash gauges and perhaps a couple of lights are not working. Missing spare tire and radio/speakers. Bumpers should be replaced. It may need a few other tiny things as any other used car, so please keep that in mind. LONG STORY SHORT, THE CAR DESERVES A THOROUGH PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION. RIGHT NOW IT'S A FAIRLY PRESENTABLE DRIVER NEEDING A GOOD AMOUNT OF AESTHETIC TLC. THIS IS A SHARP LOOKING AND REAL DEAL 1969 DODGE CHARGER RT/SE FACTORY 440 "L" CODE BIG BLOCK CAR IN EYE-CATCHING RED THAT WILL KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF ONCE YOU GET BEHIND THE DRIVER'S SEAT. YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT, AND DEFINITELY NOT AT MY PRICE!. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
