Up for auction is a freshly painted 1971 Dodge Charger. The car has no motor and is missing some parts. It was painted with a Dupont 40A white basecoat/clearcoat. This was intended to be a drag car not a show car. It is not flawless the body and paint has some ripples, orange peel and inconsistencies but is relatively straight. Lots of new parts including floor boards, brake drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders, lines, flex hoses, front disc brake pads and calipers. Professionally built 8.75 posi rear differential with 355 gears(2881489) with all new bearings and gears. The frame has been tied and reenforced it has new traction bars and 4 new chrome Carrera adjustable shocks. Under the hood has been painted with a satin durable paint. The exterior chrome is in fair condition. The interior is black and brown with a few tears, wear marks, splitting and imperfections. The dash was brown and cracked severly and was covered with a piece of vinyl, it is not smooth or perfect. Has new carpeting, door sill plates, new wind shield, rest of the glass is in good condition but the rear window has scratching. The car is set up for automatic transmission but comes with a 833 4 speed trans, has no shifter or bell housing. The car has power steering and power brakes. The Cragar SS wheels are in fair shape and the tires are next to new. The paint will need some final hand rubbing. This is not a professional restoration but would make a nice drag car or street car. This was originally a 318 car and the 23 spline 833 4 speed was not original with this car.
