Vehicle Auctions

This is a 1997 Dodge Pickup being sold by the County.  The answers to questions requesting additional information will be posted on the item description as the auction progresses.

The Vehicle:  The vehicle is a 5.2 liter V8 with 150238 miles on the odometer. Equipment on the pickup includes: 2 doors, power steering, power breaks, air conditioner, trailer hitch and cruise control.  The vehicle starts fine and the engine seems to run smoothly.  It was used by our parks person and most recently by our building and grounds maintenance people.  They describe the transmission as "weak" but the engine and body are in good shape for a 1997.

Flaws.   Overall it seems to be in very good shape for an older vehicle.  It has very little rust.  There is a tear in the upholstery on the drivers side (photo).  The bed shows use on the interior.  It was used for hauling.

VEHICLES/SHERIFF’S SALES 

This vehicle will need to be registered to the buyer.  The license plates have been removed.  Both details must be taken care of before the vehicle can be driven off the lot.  Out-of-state buyers can purchase 31-day permits for $8 at the local license bureau, which would allow the vehicle to be driven.  Minnesota residents must handle license and registration transfer prior to the vehicle being driven.  The local license bureau office (5 minutes away) is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.  A license bureau office in the city of Ramsey (20 minutes away) is open on Saturday.  You will leave our office with the vehicle, keys and the title in hand.

2. This item is being offered "AS-IS, WHERE-IS" with no warranty or other guarantee as to its condition or fitness for use. As mentioned above, we don’t drive the vehicles and can’t attest to their operability.

3. Purchaser is responsible for transportation to and from the Sherburne County Government Center in Elk River, MN.

4. Unless otherwise specified, vehicle will be available for public inspection/pick-up at 13880 Highway 10, Elk River, MN 55330 weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Central Standard Time.

5. Full Payment is due within 7 calendar days from the end of auction.

6. None of our vehicles come with license plates. Purchaser should check with local license bureau for licensing requirements.

7. Vehicle listed is offered on a competitive bid basis and must be removed within 20 calendar days from the end of auction.
