The truck is in great running condition. The engine is perfect. When we bought the truck we put $2000 dollars into it to fix some problems. None of the problems were engine related. A year and a half later we replaced the transmission in the truck for another $2000. The transmission is brand new as of summer '09. New alternator during summer '09. The air conditioner works. It puts out REALLY cold air. The truck gets great gas milage for a diesel. It was not unheard of getting 24 miles to the gallon without pulling the camper. The cab is extended but not four doors. The bed is long. It comes with a towing package, electric break controls and all. There is some "play" in the wheel. Passenger window does not roll down. Passenger mirror is shattered. Driver door lock has been worked on and you can see the results. It DOES work. No CD/radio. Spare tire rack under truck does not work (as far as we can tell). The body of the truck is in okay condition. It has some nicks in the paint and dings and small dents. It basically looks like a very used work truck. The power locks DO work. There are NO cracks in the windows. Lastly, there is an odor in the truck. It smells like a diesel work truck.
We have driven this truck pulling our 32 foot camper for the past two years. It rides very comfortably. It has gotten us to Florida and back three times, twice to Orlando and once to St. Pete. We have taken it to several places here in East TN also. This truck is very trustworthy and will treat you well. Any problems are purely cosmetic. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere on the continent.
Pick-up is preferred. I will not deliver. You can arrange to have it shipped if need be. I will be happy to work with you, but it must be picked up within a reasonable time after auction closing. I am willing to drive as far as Knoxville, Nashville, and Atlanta with the truck to meet you if you will pay for the gas. Just send me an email with your concerns about getting the truck DURING the auction time if you are planning on buying it. We are kind and reasonable people who are willing to work around schedules and what not. Just keep a clear line of communication with us and we will be happy to help in any way we can.
