Vehicle Description

For sale is a 1998 Ducati 748 Monoposto. I purchased this motorcycle used, two years ago from MCC Motorsports; a motorcycle dealership located in Villa Park, IL, just west of Chicago. The motorcycle has a valid clean title, and currently has 24,163 miles on it. Condition: The motorcycle runs and operates flawlessly. I have not had any problems with the functionality of the motorcycle since I purchased it two years ago. During the years in which I have owned the motorcycle, it has never been operated in wet or rainy conditions, and has been meticulously maintained, and stored in an insulted garage year round. Shortly prior to my purchase of the Ducati, the motorcycle had been given a full professional paint job, with the factory Ducati red paint. There are two notable flaws in the bodywork of the motorcycle, both of which I have provided pictures of. The first is located on the right side of the tail section of the motorcycle, and the second is on the lower left fairing of the motorcycle. Both flaws consist of minor cracks in the fiberglass bodywork of the motorcycle, and neither was substantial enough to warrant repair; at least not in my opinion. Extras: The motorcycle has received some notable and substantial upgrades, and are as follows: • Carbon Fiber Forza Exhaust System (Slip-on; not full) • Brembo Free Floating Brake Rotors, and break Pads (one month of use) • Stainless-Steel Break Lines • Ohlin’s Front Steering Dampner • Brand new D&D Chain • Carbon Fiber Front Fender • Carbon Fiber Heel Guards • Pro Italia Vented Clutch Cover • Zero Gravity Double Bubble Dark Smoke Windscreen All of these extras will be included in the sale of the motorcycle. The stand shown in the picture WILL NOT be included. Shipping and Payment In general, I will not ship this motorcycle; pick up of the motorcycle is required, barring one exception. I will agree to deliver this motorcycle to those people unable to pick it up themselves, if and only if they are located within a 60 mile radius of the motorcycles current location, that location being Ada, MI. I understand this may cause problems for some people, and for that I do apologize, but due to my schedule, shipping the motorcycle cross-country is an inconvenience I am not prepared to deal with. Payment of the motorcycle will be valid in three different ways. One; through PayPal, and the bike will not be released until the funds have been verified and have been cleared for withdrawal by PayPal. As many of you know, withdrawal and verification are dependent upon the feedback left from the buyer to the seller, so please do this as quickly as possible. Two; cash in person. Three, a personal check. In regards to the person check, release of the motorcycle will be contingent upon the personal check being cleared through my bank. Until this happens, the motorcycle will remain in my possession, once the check has cleared, the possession of the property will transfer to you. Thank you for you interest in my Ducati. It is a fantastic motorcycle, and a wonderful opportunity for you to own one of the most iconic motorcycles of the past twenty years. I am confident that whoever wins this auction will be extremely pleased with their decision to purchase. As a side note, I neglected to make note of the VIN number, and that is why it has not yet been listed. Sometime this evening I will update the vehicle information, and include the VIN number.
