For me, this tool is easy to use, simply plugged it into the obd outlet in my car, downloaded the TORQ app and linked my android tablet with the bluetooth tool. The tool was simple to use since all the viewing function is in the app. The app for me was and still is a little confusing. I added a few widgets to the app display, but layout was difficult to get in a nice format. The app needs a snap to grid type of feature. The tool can access everything ( several dozen metrics in a 2015 Toyota Highlander Limited). I played around with a lot of the stats, like GPS accuracy, mpg, engine speed, etc. But the most useful information is the error codes. For the price, the tool is a bargain. I don't know how well it works with other vehicles or models of Toyota.

This is a nice little device and well worth the money if you know your way around bluetooth connections and phone apps. It was packaged in a nice sturdy box with a tiny download disc (for laptops) and a set of instructions. I'm a proofreader by profession, so the broken English on the instructions made me both laugh and cry. Ok, great device but my Galaxy Core Prime phone will not see the bluetooth connection, I was about ready to send this thing back until my son tried it on his phone and it worked like a charm (he has the latest Galaxy "S" series). We found out that both catalytic converters on our mini-van are below operating threshold, it also shows engine temp, vacuum and a few other things on the app and we can even erase the codes too turning the engine off if needed as a temporary. We used the "Torque lite" app available for free on Google Playstore. Hope this review helpsRead full review

I picked this up to use with my 2001 BMW E46. Works great generally. Sometimes connecting to my phone is fiddly. Same for the 'sleep' mode where you can leave it plugged in all the time. It does power up upon starting the car, but my phone cannot BT conenct until I press the button to get the BT sync to restart. It is a minor annoyance, but worth knowing. For the cost, you really cannot beat it. It does only read generic OBD2 codes, so the BMW specific codes are unavailable which can be a hindrence for diagnostics. A proper software tool which can do that is over $200, so you do get what you pay for. As a first time diagnostic tool, it is really good to get a decent idea of what codes are tripping. Delivery was also significantly quicker than it was suggested, so that was a nice bonus.

When I saw the price of this unit, I figured What Do I Have To Loose. I have been looking for my OBD2 tool for several months. I didn't want to plug out another $150 only to find it later. So, I took the plung and ordered. It arrived 3 days later. I plugged it into the OBD2 connector, downloaded the Torgue Program to my cell phone, hit the button and walla! I was amazed at how much better this inexpensive unit was compared to my regular OBD2 Tool. I save the data on 3 different cars and was able to simple touch the Trouble Code and get specific information for the code directly from the internet. Needless to say, I stopped wondering where I left my OBD2 Tool.
