ES 315 fuse buddy
A very useful tool to check the actual amperage on a circuit. Will determine actual amperage the device or accessory is actually using and comparable to specifications. The only problem I experienced was inserting the adapters . At first , was very difficult to insert both , the ATC & mini adapter . Careful pressure is needed to " work in " the blades to spread the clips of the adapters . After initial fitting , every removal and attaching was tight but normal . I wasn't careful so the plastic separated on both adapters but easily reattached . If this happens , I suggest very small dots of glue to hold them on in three locations ( do not slop on too much ! )as a permanent fix. Yes , should have been considered upon manufacturing but it is what it is . It's still a fine tool IMO . I am ... A very useful tool to check the actual amperage on a circuit. I am very happy I purchased it as it will make diagnosing faster without having to cobble up wires and solder less connectors to attach an amp clamp or meter . That is the purpose . Just pull out the fuse on the circuit in question , plug in the tester and test . What could be faster ? There may be tight confined places where restriction due to size may be a problem but the company does sell adapters that can plug in and the use of an amp clamp is possible . It works fine in a power distribution center and should reach most fuses on a fuse panel under or side of dash . I would have give this tool 5 stars as I should but just the initial adapter problem was an issue . You shouldn't let that stop you from buying this tool , it will really be useful and I would recommend this tool to anyone . Should have bought it long ago . Good luck with yours !
