The SpeedoKote Epoxy 2.1 DTM Primer/Sealer Kit comes with a gallon of epoxy primer and a quart of epoxy catalyst. This easy-to-use 4:1 mixture takes all of the guesswork out of mixing, so you'll always have the perfect epoxy blend. This formula dries quickly, resists corrosion and can be used as a primer and a sealer on various projects. It adheres well to fiberglass, body fillers, and metals such as aluminum and steel.

This stuff is probably the perfect balance of value and ease of use. I had been using epoxy primer over bare metal but you couldn't sand it so you had to use multiple products. This you can sand so it's one product for everything. Covers well and builds well and would definitely recommend.

    Needs info updating

    I bought this as a sealer. There is no information on the can of how to use this as a sealer. Also, there is no website to where you can go to gain additional information. I contacted them through e-bay and got an answer right away though. I mixed it like they told me at 4:1;1 and sprayed it. It sprayed beautifully. However, to me it should most likely turn glossy and hard in order to be a sealer; But, it never. It just looked like and sands just like any grey primer. So, I don't know if it will protect my car from future rust or not. I can only hope. I wish that I had more information that I could get from a website telling me what to look for and what I can expect from this paint. Other than this, it did spray beautifully.

    Excellent Primer

    I had to paint some marine engine parts for a project. This primer was the superstar. It gripped everything I tossed at it, including bare steel and aluminum, painted surfaces, and previously rusted surfaces (that I de-rusted w. Rust converter and Naval Jelly and a lot of grinding).I wouldn't hesitate to buy this primer again. The price is right!

    Good stuff...

    I've done a fair amount of painting and refinishing but I'm not a full-time professional in that field. I'm always searching for good products that I can purchase in my crazy State of California. This primer mixed well and sprayed well and seems to be tough as nails after 24 hours. My application was on a bulldozer so super prep work wasn't necessary. I lightly scuffed it up and finished with the topcoat. I won't know for a few years obviously how well it holds up but I have high hopes. I will repurchase when I need more. Mark

    Great

    Really great. Definitely has an epoxy finish as I let some set in a mixing cup however the sandability is like a normal primer. I would say its a low build epoxy sandable primer. I have used other epoxy sealers in the past in they are like sanding latex paint that loads up your paper this does not but you have to let it cure properly 24 hoursish

    Good value. Great company!

    This is a good high build primer that sands great. However it is not like the epoxy primer that I have always used(with the harder in a small tube and sanded like concrete lol)I have bought this kit several times before and I will continue to do so.
