1978 Ford Fairmont

You are bidding on a solid 1978 Ford Fairmont Futura. This will make somebody a great cheap hot rod project. Fairmonts introduced the Fox body chassis that became popular with Mustangs. These are very light and good handling cars. This car is powered by the 200 I6 engine with C4 automatic transmission. The car cranks right up and runs very smooth with no knocking or funny noises. The transmission shifts out like it should. The car runs and drive, but has very weak brakes. The car appears to have its original paint and it has tons of patina. The car is extremley solid with only a couple of rust spots. All of the rockers, door bottoms, quarters, floors, etc are all rock solid. The car doesn't show any signs of ever being wrecked. The core support, fender aprons, and shock towers are all solid and straight. The car has its original red plaid interior that shows normal wear. The worst things wrong with the car are weak brakes and it needs tail lights. This would make a great hot rod project or keep it original and use it as a cruiser. I have a clear title in hand.
