It has won four Gold WARDS from MCA in the trailer concourse classification in 2002. It has had a complete restoration using only authentic factory parts. The car was restored to all matching numbers as identified with the data plate numbers listed below. All parts were rechromed and refurbished. The body is straight and the paint job is a beautiful work of art. The red interior is just perfect in my eyes. The dash area is dazzling and everything works. The convertible top frame has been powder coated for longer life and the white top is beautiful. The power top was installed correctly and operates properly. The engine compartment has been detailed to factory specifications, but it showing a little wear. The air cleaner has been replaced with chrome one, but the factory air cleaner goes with the car. The entire car was detailed for national showing with all of the correct stickers, colors, hoses, clamps, belts, spark plug wires are all correct. The trunk is detailed correctly and most parts are Ford or NOS parts when restoration was done. But some reproduction parts were used also.                                                                                                                                            Engine compartment                                    Engine is a 289 2 barrel and was completely rebuilt, engine was bore to 30 over   , harden valve seats, new pistons, oil pump, cam, all new bearings, fuel pump, water pump, rebuilt carburetor, water, oil temperature sending units, starter, starter solenoid, voltage regulator, belts, radiator hoses and clamps, plug wires, correct valve covers, Master cylinder, power steering pump and new engine wiring harness. All of these parts were replaced when restoration was done.                                                                                                                        Body and exterior                                                                                                                Body has been stripped to bare metal and painted  with 2 stage urethane(base coat then clear coat) Rangoon Red. Bumpers were replaced with new reproductions and still look new! New bumper guards front park lights, taillights bezels, outside door handles, new windshield, new grill, new mustang emblems, quarter panel ornaments, rocker panel moldings, gas cap, gas tank, outside mirrors. The only defects are on the top of the right fender are a stain and a bubble in the paint on left door (very minor) and it will be repaired before delivery. The restoration was done in 2002 and only had 4723, it now has 4749 showing in 2012.                                                                                                      Interior: All interior metal has been stripped to bare metal and repainted to the correct red. New standard door panels and trim was installed, new window regulators, water shields, door and window handles, kick panels, carpet, quarter trim, well liner, das pad, instrument cluster, underlayment, scuff plates, floor mats, wind lace, all weather stripping on entire car, sun visors and brackets, and vent widow frames, header bar chrome and rear view mirror and bracket.                                                                                                                                                                                      Chassis: Chassis was sand blasted and primed and painted black. New front suspension, ball joints, lower control arms, upper control arms shafts, sway bar and stabilizer brushing, new spring seats, inner and out tie rods, shocks, brakes, wheel bearings, radial tires and a set of 1965 new style steel wheels with center caps. As you can see this is a really nice car in show room condition. What really makes this car it came with a very rare option!!
