" Meet Goldie "
Goldie showcases a beautiful professional restoration throughout. Enjoy our brief walkaround motion & sound clip posted above. There are a number of video clips throughout this presentation.
Ready to drive & show, our '47 Super Deluxe is powered by a well-tuned 239 c.i. Flathead V8 engine & automatic transmission.
A walk around the exterior will reveal a number of minor styling changes made during the middle of the '47 model year. The most noticeable being the smoothed grille bars (previously red pinstriped).
Displaying stunning ornamentation still today, is this '47 Super Deluxe drop-top.
Round parking lights were now located below the headlights.
The condition of the paint and body is superb. The soft tan finish shows excellent. Note the subtle tan piping along the flowing fender lines...
The brown power top is functional and shows as new. The brightwork was carefully detailed throughout this car. All of the correct exterior stainless maintains a beautiful luster. This is a simple, elegant machine reminescent of the early post-war era.
The restored factory wheels are complimented with Ford hubcaps and B.F. Goodrich Silvertown wide whitewall tires (225/70/15s)
The interior displays beautiful leather look upholstery. The material is very soft and quite supple. This is a comfortable car with abounding quality throughout it.
The dashes chrome is excellent. The factory gauges are clear and appear to be showroom fresh.
The steering wheel is correct as is the original horn rim, displaying a hint of patina thanks to the previous 62 years of time.
The plush carpeting displays sewn seams throughout. Notice the polished emergency brake lever, chrome trim rings, and Automatic "V8" designated shifter.
The door panels are hand fitted, displaying beautiful window cranks, including vent window cranks.
The Flathead V8 engine has underwent a number of performance modifications. These include the Edelbrock performance cylinder heads as well as three Stromberg carburetors with chromed stacks. This 'lil 3-duece mill moves the '47 Ford with authority.
Further engine details include a finned coil cover and matching oil-catch can. The firewall is clean and detailed as well.
Underneath this '47 is more of the same, a tastefully detailed restoration. The frame is clean and painted as is the rear end. You'll find fresh fasteners and bushings throughout. The running boards and fenders are steel as well. This car has always been garaged and shown indoors since the restoration.
