This 2000 P71 Police Interceptor was previously used as a One Officer Assigned Marked and Unmarked Police Department Officer’s car.

It is a one officer take home car which means that only one officer drove this car took and took car home after work. It was only on patrol one shift a day by the same driver. Most police cars for sale here on eBay are multiple driver pool cars that are driven around the clock, turned off only for maintenance. Not this car. Only one driver since new! This car has always been government maintained according to the manufacturers severe service recommendations. Which includes:

Ø Oil and filter changed every 3 months or 3000 miles

Ø Transmission fluid changed every 30,000 miles

Ø Coolant changed every 2 years or 24,000 miles

Ø Brake fluid flush and replace every 18 months

Some may say that these cars are over serviced. But they have to be. The police cannot have their cars breaking down on the way to an emergency because of a lack of proper maintenance.

The Police Interceptor is the safest full size car that is on the road today. It has a five star crash rating for the driver and passenger. The P71 is also tested in a 75 MPH rear end collision. No other car in the world is tested to that standard. You cannot put a price on your safety.

The P71 is the toughest, fastest and baddest American sedan on the roads today.

Keep in mind that this NOT a certified pre-owned Lexus.

This is a used Police Car.

Police Cars are used everyday.

They all have scratches and dings on them.

They all have had radio/computer equipment installed in them. They were not garage kept and driven only to the store and church on Sundays by a little old lady.

They were used as Law Enforcement Vehicles, and are not perfect.

Are there some that are better than others?

Yes, and that is exactly what we sell.

Just remember this is NOT a brand new car

Vehicle Condition:

This car looks excellent, starts, runs, and drives great.

Exterior:

Ø Paint is glossy. This is an original all blue car from the factory.

Ø Body is straight.

Ø The car was repainted in 2006. Not because of any accident damage, but because of the clear coat peeling. It is a decent paint job. There are several marks and touched up areas on both of the front doors where the department removed the decals for unmarked service. Nothing horrible. This car looks really good! We are very picky about our listings and disclose any information to our valued potential buyers.

Ø Clean carfax.

Ø No cracked or broken glass.

Ø There are several small scratches. They are not deep into the paint and will rub out will a good buffing. Since most buyers prefer to do this themselves, we do not buff or compound any cars that we sell.

Ø The tops of the door moldings have some touch up paint on them.

Ø There is are a few small paint bubbles spot (smaller than the size of a dime) on the drivers side front fender that has been touched up.

Ø One plugged lightbar hole on the roof. That’s it!

Drivetrain/Mechanical:

Ø Engine runs smooth and very strong

Ø NO Leaks or unwelcome noises (Pinging, Knocking, Rattles, ETC)

Ø Transmission shifts smoothly at low speeds and quick and firm during performance driving (Just like it is supposed to)

Ø Air conditioning is cold.

Ø Heater is hot. But it does take some time for it to change from cold to hot. The heat does work.

Ø Steering is tight

Ø Brakes are brand new up front, 75% pad life remaining in the rear. They stop the car fast with no vibrations and no unwelcome noises

Ø The Goodyear Eagle RS-A Police Pursuit Tires have at least 80% tread remaining

Ø The check engine lamp came on while we were driving it. It is off now. When we scanned the computer for codes there was one present. It was a manufacturer specific DTC. Whatever it is, it must be minor. As the car runs perfectly and we got over 22 MPG on the highway on a recent 1000 + mile trip.

Additional Maintenance Performed:

Ø Oil and filter have just been changed. Castrol GTX 5w-30 and a new Motorcraft filter were used.

Ø Transmission fluid just changed by the department at 100k miles.

Ø Coolant was just flushed with a 50/50 mix of green coolant and distilled water at 100k miles.

Ø Spark plugs just changed with Autolite Platinum Plugs by the department at 115k miles.

Ø Four wheel alignment was just done.

Ø This car is ready for any trip big or small!

Ø The 1999-2000 P71’s are in our opinion the best P71’s ever built. They are very tough, rugged and dependable. 1999 and 2000 were also the only years that the 3.55 rear end was standard. That alone makes these cars much more lively and fun to drive.

As you look at the photos of this car, Notice that the interior and engine are not all greased up & down with armor all.

Ø There is no armor all/dressing anywhere on this car.

Ø We do not buff, compound, or wet sand any cars that we sell.

Ø We only buy cars that are clean and well cared for.
