DETAILS

This package, which includes the Digital Interface by Axxess, will allow you to listen to and control XM satellite radio directly through your factory radio (must be satellite or changer ready.) It also has an extra input source so you can connect and control your iPod or connect another source (DVD, MP3, CD Changer, etc) to get audio. (Optional cable required for extra input source. See below.)

Unlike some other products on the market, this interface allows control of XM satellite radio through your existing factory radio (for satellite-ready radios). If your radio isn't satellite-ready but is capable of controlling a REMOTE changer (separate from the radio), you can add an optional external LCD screen (XIA-LCD) that will display two lines of text.

This product also has an extra input port that will allow you to add another device with one of two optional cables. The iPod cable (XIAH-IPC) is designed to allow direct connection, control and charging of your iPod. The RCA cable (XIAH-RCA) is designed to provide left and right RCA inputs for DVD audio, CD changers, etc. You cannot, however, have both extra sources connected at the same time as the XM Satellite tuner. You are limited to a total of two input sources, counting the XM. (Although you could use both the iPod and RCA cables without the iPod if you are simply trying to add an iPod and another input source to your factory sound system. In fact, we sell this interface with the iPod cable instead of the satellite pieces in our 'iPod Interfaces' category to the left.)

Of additional interest: we are an authorized Metra/Axxess retailer. We have the software and hardware to update the firmware on these devices before we send them out. This helps ensure you get the most up to date interface possible. Do you want to risk getting an out of date product from some other seller? You could find your application doesn't even work with this device if it hasn't been updated to the latest firmware.
