Hello Everyone. MAKE OFFER!! MUST SELL!!!! EMAIL OFFER!! ALL OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED!!!!!!Thank you for your interest in my auction. I love this car and will be completely upfront and honest with everything regarding the sale. I would love to see this car go to someone who will love it as much as I do. I'm selling it due to the loss of my house and now having no storage space and financial hardships. The auction is for a 1970 Ford Galaxie 500 XL, red convertible with white and black interior. My close family has owned the car for about 16 years so I will describe the vehicle best to my knowledge, It has the ORIGINAL 390 V8 engine. It was rebuilt about 3 years back and was done so that the numbers would match. The car really moves with the big block and gets up and goes very well. It is a great cruising car and very fun to drive. It has the ORIGINAL C6 transmission and still shifts great without any problems. It has had some exhaust work done, it has a dual chamber flowmaster exhaust with pipes that dump in the wheel wells so you don't see any pipes. Very clean looking and sounds GREAT. The car was professionally painted right after the engine rebuild and had the interior redone as well. The interior is in great shape and shines, it is all seamless stitching. It still has the orginal seatbelts too. It does have a upgraded intake, a "cobra" intake with a K&N filter. It was originally a column shift but was converted over to a console shift with two captain chairs. The dash was redone as well and looks spectacular, At the same time it did get a new vinyl top. The front and rear bumpers have both been rechromed about four years ago and still sparkle. It still has the orginal grill with original gas powered headlight covers. The top is electric and still works very well without any hangups. This car is really sharp with the top down too. All the pans are 100% (including the trunk pan) and have no pinholes or cancer. There is absolutely NO RUST from what I can tell. It does have a custom made stereo box that fits in the glove compartment, with two speakers in each door. The car will come with a IPOD pioneer radio and pioneer speakers as well. It does have aftermarket rims, very nice American Racing rims and upgraded tires, though unfortunately one dust cover is missing due to theft. It is missing the rear emblem because it broke and I have never found the proper one. When the dash was redone we removed the covers to the instrumentation to see them better but over time they are off and need to be redone. It originally had air shocks in the rear and have been replaced with new air shocks for adjustable back end heighth. The vehicle has a CLEAN TITLE, not a bill of sale and current registration is paid with no fees posting. There is a few issues with the car unfortunately so here it goes: Mechanically it runs very well but it has a small transmission fluid leak. The leak is due to the rear transmission seal getting tired and is a easy fix, even for the do it yourself 'ers. The is also a even smaller oil leak, I'm pretty sure from the seal on the pan being tired. The carburator is still great but I would look into cleaning or rebuilding it in the future. Very small items and other than that it runs great. Cosmetically there is a some wear and tear to the paint. The body is VERY straight, with no dents. There is a few chips and cracks (as with any car, no matter how hard you try to keep it cherry) due mostly to uncareful and rude drivers opening their doors without looking. I have taken pictures of all of the flaws. Majority of them are very easy to fix and repair due to the fact that they are only paint damage. There is also some clear coat wear on parts of the vehicle due to it sitting for a bit because of my unfortunate circumstances, most of it is on the trunk lid and surrounding area but there is also a light amount on the side top corners. Very fixable but I'm not going to hold anything back and be completely honest. Thats about it as far as flaws, very few and nothing major. The NANA Classic Car guide appraises the car at about $22,000 in average condition and this car is much higher than average condition.
So that about covers the bases but if you have any questions about anything feel free to email me and I will get you an answer or provide additional pictures if you would like. A few pictures that I took didn't make it up, mostly of a few small blemishes but if your are interested email me and I'll email them to you. If there are any furthers questions after that I will gladly contact you via telephone. Upon successful close of the auction the car will be professionally detailed and cleaned so the car will arrive to you in absolutely the best shape possible (the car will contain the receipt for your record), no expense will be spared. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time due to selling. Upon winning of the auction the buyer must make a nonrefundable deposit of $1,000 within 72 hours, preferably through PayPal, however if there is some other arrangements that you would like to make we will work something out. It will also be the buyer's responsibility to arrange pick up within 10 days of auction closing, and again I will help in any way that I can for an easy and hassel free pickup. And of course I love everyone looking and asking any question but please serious bidders, none payment bids will receive negative feedback per ebay policy (thats no fun so bid accordingly). So check out the pictures and Happy Bidding. Once again thank you for your interest and take care.
