This is a 1964 Black Plate California car.  It was built in Los Angeles.  It is a 1964 Galaxie 500 2 door hardtop fastback.  It has a 352 V8 with a 4 barrel carburetor.  The odometer shows 26,531 miles, but I can't verify that as actual miles.  It has an automatic transmission with the shifter on the column.  It has power steering and factory air conditioning.   Under the hood is very good with recent detailing done and it is very presentable.  It has the original radio.  It is a true Black Plate California car that had one owner until just recently when he passed away.  The exterior of the car is the original color with almost all original paint.  The color as shown on the car plate is code Y.  It is a light blue and Ford called it Skylight Blue.  The body does not have any rust and is very straight.  The chrome and exterior trim on the car is all on the car and is in very good shape.  The interior of the car is all original.  The dash, carpet, door panels, rear quarter panels and trim work in the car are all in very good condition.  The seats are a medium blue crushed velour and are original.  The seats, both front and rear, need reupholstered.  The panels inside are a medium and dark blue.  The carpet and head liner are in excellent condition.  The glass in the car is all original except for the windshield, which was replaced at sometime.  The bright trim around the windows is all good with no chrome work needed.  The tires are all good.  They are not new, but they don't need to be replaced.  The car needs no body work.  The car needs a paint job to be a great car.  It runs good and it is ready to drive and enjoy.  You won't have to spend years and a lot of money on this car to get it ready to enjoy.  A car like this does not come along very often in a lifetime, but here it is and you can own it.  The car comes with both front and rear black plate license plates that are stamped 1963, which means the car has only had one license plate in its life.  You will receive the California title with the car.  Using the NADA Classic and Antique Automobile Guide, this car is better than average and that is not being fair to the car as it has survived in this condition for all of these years.  I have seen many other cars and this car is extremely good.  I put a low reserve on this car.  If you need the car delivered, we can arrange delivery.  If you have any questions, you can call me at 724-548-5529 day or night.
