The mags are on there because the stock wheels were too small to accept decent tires. Besides, I think they look cool. My priority had been to complete the mechanical "Restomod" upgrades in 2008, so the car would make a trip to California to see my son. Paint, upholstery, body tweaks, etc. were on the menu for this year. Unfortunately, I've developed health and physical problems. Body overall is in very good, straight shape. Car was restored in early 90s with much new sheet metal (last owner was going to drive it in parades with Shriners). Last paint job left fisheyes on the hood, and dustmotes on trunk lid. Convertible top has some discoloration, and about 3 or 4 small holes where the linkage pinched it years ago. There's a leak at the base of the top I need to track down. One fender brace needs to be replaced. Front buckets need upholstery. I put these in because I wanted headrests when I drive. Windshield shows some sand pitting, and could use a new rubber gasket. Remainder of weather stripping is of recent installation.
