This is a one owner-family Mustang, my aunt bought it new in March ’66 from a dealer in N. Hollywood, CA.  It has not been registered or driven since 1991, and has been garaged for about 35 of the last 43 years.  Still has all its original Emberglo paint, and most of the black interior is all original.  No rust or collision damage.  It’s a factory air car, with power steering, 289 2V, and C4 with about 80k miles, the motor has never been touched and ran fine when last driven in '91.  The transmission was repaired/replaced? in the 70’s, the only major part that ever needed work within all these years.  I have also accumulated a number of NOS parts which I intended to use in a full restoration of the car one day.  I can email a list of the parts which will be offered first to car buyer at additional cost.  I can envision a few possible types of buyers for this very original west coast San Jose built Mustang which has never been out of CA or AZ.

As a dependable, easy to repair and service Mustang, this would be a nice around town or commute ride and could be road ready for around $500-600, needing all fluids changed, gas tank replaced or cleaned out/ lines flushed, carb drained/cleaned/re-gasketed, brakes checked out (4 wheel drum), and a/c charged.  The bias ply tires have good tread, hold air, but are probably 20+ years old.

With its Emberglo and black combo, factory air and smog system, original black CA plates, this would be a great ‘66 to fully restore to MCA concours standards.  All original sheet metal and glass (except Carlite replacement windshield), trunk mat, jack, factory air system, no rust.  This car would only need minor body repair (door dents/dings) to be in excellent condition, with some fresh paint and new chrome on the outside, steam clean the underside and restore/detail the engine bay, it becomes a real eye catcher at the next Mustang show.  This car is great to work on, no rusted or stripped bolts, no hacked up wiring, AM radio never removed or cut out, and no computers anywhere.

Lastly, for the serious restorers, or GT 350 HiPo 289 survivor cars, this would offer a rare opportunity for a Shelby GT 350 restorer to get original carpet, doors, door panels, underlayment, seat with original covering, gas tank/sender, C4 W-MO radiator, wiring harnesses, firewall padding, hoses, lines, hardware, fenders, orig. headlamps, all untouched parts from a San Jose built car.  Interior/engine have never been out of this car!

Please call me to discuss any aspects of the car and it’s history.  I have a lift and can put the car in the air for additional pics if requested.  Or a personal inspection is welcome.  Contact Bruce at 520/5311275
