Up for auction is a 1969 Mustang Coupe that I have been working on for some time now. I can no longer afford to finish this due to health and financial reasons so instead of letting it sit in my driveway I have decided to let it go. Winning bidder will be responsible for all shipping arrangements. A 500.00 non-refundable deposit will be due 48 hours after auction ends and the balance will be due within 7 days and the vehicle will not be released until all payments clear. There is a lien on the title but it will be cleared upon sale of the vehicle. I will try to point out everything about the car as best as I can but if you have any questions at all feel free to contact me and ask. Car will be sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied.

REAREND:

This is one of the areas that needs completion. Right now the car has the original 8in. rearend. I do have a brand new set of Richmond 4:62 gears and installation kit along with a Richmond mini-spool that is not installed yet but does come with the car.

INTERIOR:

10 Pt. cage that will certify to 8.50 and the rear bars were bent so that the rear seat can be reinstalled. I do have all the interior for it but I do not want to put it back in until the cage gets painted.

BODY:

The body is the other thing that needs some attention. The floors, frame, and 90% of the body are in excellent rock solid shape. You can see in the photos that the problems are around the rear wheel wells. I have new replacement sheet metal from National Parts Depot but I am in no way a bodyman so that will have to be done by a professional. I also bought a new door skin for the passenger side because I do not like the way it looks. A bodyman told me it could be smoothed out and fixed but I didn't want any bondo in the car so I bought the skin. I did install a boss 429 scoop on the hood and that looks very nice.

WHEELS AND TIRES:

The tires are Mickey Thompson ET Street 325 x 50 x15 Drag Radials on back and Mickey Thompson Sportsman 28 x 7.50 15 tires on the front

The wheels are stock looking steel rims from Wheel Vintiques that measure 15 x 10 in the back and 15 x 4 in the front.

EXTRAS:

There is a 16 gal fuel cell in the trunk along with the battery. Electrical cut-off switch and battery charging posts are mounted on the tailight panel. Electric fuel pump and filter.

On Jul-06-09 at 07:46:36 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have been getting alot of questions about the floors and the mysterious plate on the passenger side toe board. I have absolutely no clue why the plate is there because I have looked inside and underneath and there is absolutely no rust in or around to explain why it is there. It is all the original metal. I could remove it but thats the way I got it and thats the way I am gonna keep it for originality sake. I'm sure its not an original thing but who knows....right now I have no explanation. The car was also originally titled in California which explains why the undercarraige is so clean. It also started out life as a stick shift car and the clutch pedal is still in the car. As you can see in the photos, the passenger seat is in very good shape although the drivers seat will need to be recovered. I do have the back seat for it and it also is in very good shape. The dash is out of the car at the moment because of the cage installation and the bars were tucked in very close to the windshield pillars so the dash will have to be trimmed slightly to fit around the bars. I have not reinstalled any of the interior because the cage still needs to be lightly sanded to remove the shipping tape and the crud from sitting and then painted. The cage was installed by Blitzkreig Motorsports and all the bars were tig welded except the plates that were welded to the floor...they were mig welded. There are still 2 bars that need to be welded in. They are the bars that go from the main hoop to the subframe connectors and since I do not have any subframe connectors on yet these are not in. I was unsure of my path with the project so I did not want to install any connectors until I knew for sure if I was gonna keep it original or if I was gonna tub it and narrow the rear frame. That can be the next owners decission. I took a few more pictures of the foors and undercarraige and they can be seen at the link below.
