1968 Mustang ELEANOR

Up for auction is my 1968 Eleanor re-creation that was built for speed not to be pushed on and off the trailer… The car is set up to run at speeds of 150 mph to 175 mph. The design / plan for the car was to be completed and run in the Silver State Classic Challenge (www.sscc.us) in the 150 mph class. I did not run it do to the fact I have completed this class the last few years (with a different car) and have changed my speed class to a higher speed.

Along with the ability for extreme high speed the car has been, and can be driven around town without any problems. It is not just a race car… it is a driver. It has all functioning options (lights, wipers, heat, stereo, etc..) and many additional things such as power windows, shaved locks / door handles, power trunk release, dvd player, etc..

I will list as much of the important information below without making the list so long that no one will want to read it so please ask me any questions you may have about the car.

Body: 1968 Mustang fastback

New full quarters, wheel houses, fenders, and full Eleanor kit. I believe that the front and rear windows are new with the door / vent windows being original. The body was NOT cut to fit the 429 engine a Crites installation kit was used so the shock towers are still in place.

Engine: 429 CID

The 429 was broken in on the dyno (dyno sheets included) producing 499.3hp and 453.9 lbs of torque. This was using 93 octane fuel. A 125hp Nitrous kit is installed in the car that was not used on the dyno but would push the hp number well over 600hp….

Transmission: C6 / Gearvendors overdrive

The transmission is a 4x4 trans with the transfer case removed and the Gearvendors unit attached, this maintains a standard length so that no floor and mounting modifications were needed and a regular length driveshaft was used.

Undercarriage:

Suspension is a Total Control Products complete setup, front coil over conversion, rack conversion, 1-1/8 anti roll bar, sub frame connectors with X-brace (and drive shaft loop), and QA-1 adjustable shocks. A Fays2 adjustable watts linkage completes the rear.

The rear end is a Ford 9" with a nodular center section. This is a 35 spline, oversize bearing, ½ inch stud set up with Moser axles and a Detroit locker.

The Brakes are a complete Willwood system, 12.19" rotors (drilled and slotted) with 4 piston calipers front and rear. A polished Willwood master cylinder, adjustable proportioning valve, and stainless steel and braided lines throughout.

Steering is a polished Flaming River tilt column, Total Control Products rack, correct Shelby steering wheel.

Wheels / Tires are Eleanor correct Vintage Wheel Works wheels with custom offsets for best stance. Tires are Kumho MX’s 245/45R17 and 275/40R17.

The Fuel System starts with a 22gal Fuel Safe fuel cell, Barry Grant 220HR pump and return style regulator, finished with a Demon carburetor.

The cooling system is a BeCool radiator, twin electric front mounted fans, an engine mounted flex fan, and a high flow aluminum water pump. Transmission cooling is maintained by a Moroso twin cooler.

The interior has a Dakota Digital dashboard system, Electric Life power windows / shaved handle /lock kit with power trunk release, 4 point roll bar, Keyless ignition (push button) start system, custom stereo system with DVD player (built into head unit). Everything from Dynaliner across the complete floor and firewall, complete Painless wiring harness,  to all new heater system (core, box, motor) to wiper system (motor, arm transmission, arms and blades). Again Please send me questions regarding specific things you may want to know (to much to list).

Everything regarding this car is new, painted, polished, powder coated, without any detail or expense being skipped including a trunk mounted battery with the cutoff switch being hidden by the GT500 emblem between the tail lights…

Please look at the pics and send me any and all questions you may have, as I know I have not listed a lot of specifics that you may want to know about.

The car is being listed locally so I reserve the rite to end the auction early. The car is being sold as is and as shown with no warranty implied.

A $5,000.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48hrs. of auction end and full payment is due within 14 days of auction end.

Enclosed transportation options / assistance available so please ask about rates.
