This 1965 Ford Mustang 2dr Fastback 2+2 features a 289-A code V-8 8cyl Gasoline engine. It is equipped with a 3 speed automatic transmission. In 1965 the Mustang coupe and convertible were joined by a totally new body style, the 2 + 2 bastback. This Art Astor collection beauty was produced in San Jose California in August, just a few days before the season's production ended. Looking like it did when delivered new; it is finished with a Champagne Beige exterior with Palomino and white vinyl bucket seat interior. What makes this Pony special, in addition to its unmolested condition, is the 289 A-Code four-barrel small block engine that provides plenty of kick and C-4 automatic transmission. This Mustang was treated to an exterior freshening several years ago with the chrome trim replaced. The factory original interior remains as does the original gauges which show 91,800 miles, believed to be from new.
