Sewell of Plano was able to acquire this vehicle from the original owner that commissioned the Ground up restoration and transformation into 'Eleanor.'  The previous owner is a personal friend of our dealership's General Manager and traded for a Corvette Z06 as a daily driver. This vehicle was rarely driven and was primarily a show car.  This past weekend it was driven from the garage of the previous owner to our dealership (about a 12 mile trip) and directly into our shop where it was thoroughly inspected by several of our, World Class and Master Certified, technicians.  It's a funny thing... you drive a car like Eleanor into the shop and ALL of the technicians want an opportunity to climb in and out of it.

This is the description of the vehicle taken directly from the Grubbs Motorsports Website. Grubbs is the company that completed the ground-up restoration.:

Ground-up restoration, Maier body kit, shaved wipers and cowl panel, custom cover under hood, radiator duct work in grill, Grubbs Motorsports shock tower brace system. 351W built by Grubbs with Victor Jr. aluminum heads, engine makes 565 HP and 715HP on NOS @ 7,000RPM. Front end is total control products with Flaming River Rack and Pinion steering. In the rear is a Shelby controlled suspension with a 9.. rearend filled with 4.11 gears from Strange, brakes are adjustable by proportioning valves mounted right next to the driver.

Interior is a mixed movie car theme with a few custom touches by the original owner. Auto Meter Phantom custom gauge panel was fabricated to customer specs, the Go Baby Go Nos panel is direct from the movie set but has the addition of a purge button that sprays the fog out the grill like two snake fangs. Scat seats with 5 point harnesses hold you in place, custom built subwoofer box takes the place of the original back seat, custom built 8 point roll cage for strength, subframe connectors hold the car together. Interior work was performed by Tops Auto Trim.

The trunk holds the NOS bottle as well as the battery, with a custom sprayed finish that has both insulating qualities as well as good looks. PSE wheels with Nitto tires take hold of the road with 17x 9.5 rear wheels and 17x8 front wheels, Nitto drag radials hook the car hard and standard Nitto 555..s work up front to point the car in the right direction.

Custom painted Pepper Grey Metallic with Black Metallic stripes shine to a show car slick finish that draws everyone in at car shows and on the road. You can..t drive this car anywhere without people stopping you to take pictures or taking pictures with their camera phone while driving down the road, it is truly an eye catcher.

This car won at Dallas Autorama and has won first place at every show since it has been built.
