In the eighties Ford owned the new Muscle Car era by offering up the high performance 3rd generation Mustangs. The 3rd generation Mustangs came on the scene in 1979. Every year Ford improved the breed with suspension and power train upgrades. That Fox body style lasted until the last year of that run in 1993 with only subtle trim and color changes. This 93 model is one of the most popular LX 5.0 Liter body style and probably one of the more collectible being the last year of a great run. It had the same power, suspension, and interior as the GT but did not have the body kit and tail light treatment that some thought was over the top on the GT model. It may have looked conservative but with the lighter weight and less rear drag they were even quicker. This bright red beauty only has 35,371 miles and has been well taken care of. Other than leather, it has all of the options offered. If features the 5.0 liter motor, automatic overdrive transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, power top, 16 Chrome Pony wheels, and dual exhaust. It has been spared all the modifications and drives like new! Comfort comes with articulated reclining bucket seats, full console, power steering, power door locks, dual power mirrors, power trunk release, cruise control, leather wrapped steering wheel, AM/FM cassette stereo, and air conditioning. I guess it is too early to call this a classic but tradition holds that the last year for a particular model and body style is always collectible. It will be someday for sure. This one is in fantastic shape front to back and top to bottom. Even the chassis is very nice still showing the red primer underneath. You cannot go wrong with a red Mustang convertible of any year.
