Vehicle History Report Summary for 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ![]() Car Description: 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 351 4V, C-6 Automatic Transmission Power Disc-Brakes, Front and rear spoilers, 15X7 Magnum 500 wheels. The body is very straight, and the paint is just BEAUTIFUL!! The paint is a custom “house of color” red/ maroon metallic with deep clear coat - looks like the paint is still wet. The first restoration included the paint and body and the interior. After purchasing the Mach 1, I finished the restoration by detailing the engine compartment and engine and finished the interior by installing a new dash pad. I installed new front bumper and grill moldings, and the left rocker panel molding that was scratched; the right side was like new. All of the weather stripping was replaced, to include roof rail, doors, trunk, rear glass, belt liners, and hood to cowl seal. The outside door handles were replaced and the rear marker light bezels, quarter window moldings, rear bumper, trunk letters, and Mach 1 stripes, backup lights bezels, grill, headlight moldings, roof panel ornaments. The left quarter panel has been replaced and was done correctly. There are no problems with the body. It still has the original floor panels, doors, front fenders, and torque boxes. Yes - the paint was done 6 years ago and it has been driven some so it may have a few paint chips but it is one BEAUTIFUL car!! Engine: The engine is a 351 4V Cleveland 330HP - it is not the correct engine for the car (it came with a 351 Windsor 2V) but it has been rebuilt and I was told it has about 3500 miles on it. I removed the valve covers and intake (intake was cast iron). The engine is very clean inside and I do believe the mileage to be correct; the compression is great with no problems. I cleaned and detailed the engine and engine compartment and stripped the engine bay down to the metal and primed and repainted. I replaced the main wiring harness in the engine bay to include the engine feed, alternator wiring harness, and installed reproduction battery cables. I also replaced starter solenoid, voltage regulator, oil pressure sending unit, temp sending unit, Summit chrome fuel pump with new stainless steel braided fuel line( will add pictures since it was done ), water pump, radiator hoses (upper and lower), heater hoses, HD three flew radiator with the brackets, fan shroud, 5 blade fan, new chrome alternator and wiring harness, chrome export brace and shock plates, Edelbrock carburetor, Edelbrock 4 barrel intake, chrome air cleaner, Ford polished valve covers, new Autolite spark plugs, antifreeze, ECT!! OK - I even installed a new set of reproduction correct horns and turn signal switch (horn switch). Suspension: I installed new Disc-Brakes with new bearings and seals, new power brake booster and proportioning valve, new front flex hoses, new outer tie rods, new shocks - front and rear, new strut rod bushings, sway-bar bushings end links, and rear u-joint. I have had the front end alignment done so it is ready for the road. I installed new 15X7 Magnum 500 wheels with new center caps and new set of BFGoodrich tires 235/60/15. I had the manual steering box rebuilt by Rodes restoration and had the pitman arm rebuilt. I restored the inner tie rods - they are original and were in perfect shape other than needing new dust covers, cleaning and greasing. Interior: The interior was restored when I bought the Mach 1 but it needed a new dash pad so I replaced it. I also installed a new dual speaker in the dash. Also replaced the brake light switch and repaired one wire that was damaged (Green/Red stripe wire). The seat covers were replaced during the first restoration as was the carpet, door panels, scuff plates, wind lace, package tray and headliner. A Mustang AM/FM radio was installed also. The interior is very nice with a console. It has the Rim blow steering wheel now but I may put in a new Grant Mustang wheel, but the Rim blow wheel goes with the car when it sells. If you want a color change of the interior from white to black, we can do it for you, the charge would be $2200.00 for new headliner, sail panels, seat covers, door panels, new rear glass weather stripping (to change headliner) and repaint white interior trim panels to black. Transmission: the transmission is a C-6 that has been rebuilt and has a shift kit installed. This is a very nice driver that can be shown or, better yet - DRIVE IT!! The car is not a frame off restoration that would make it too good to drive; but this Mach 1 is that close!! VIN: 9T02H175325 It has the data plate still on the door and it also has the build tag on the apron next to the hood hinge. Showing it to be a 63C Mach 1 with Bright Maroon paint.
