This is a 1968 Mustang Fastback project with a lot of metal replacement already complete. All major rust has already been removed. Here is what has been replaced already: Trunk floor pans, rear trunk frame rails, outer wheelhouses, and both quarter skins with new correct factory sheet metal. They have been welded in completely. The quarter skins have tack welds every 2-3 inches, and have been spot welded on the wheel well lips and on the doors; they will only require finish stitch welding and finishing touches. The cowls look to be in good condition (see pics); some of the best I have seen for a car of this age. The floor pans need to be replaced and the driver side has already been removed. The passenger side still needs removal and the front subframe rails will need replacement. This vehicle sat on jacks on the main outer frame rails in the driveway covered with a tarp at all times for the last two years. The wheels were placed on the car only to make it easier for the buyer to transport the vehicle. They were removed and this is the same reason the motor and trans are out of the car. They will need to be removed again when in your garage/shop to commence work again. There is no interior. The door glass is all present. There is no front and rear windshield. The hood and fenders are loosely placed on and have not been fitted as they were removed so that the metal work could be done. The car does have a deluxe hood, with no turn signal inserts. The wheels appear to be original and would need to be refinished. There is a trunk lid and corner extensions which will come with this vehicle; the trunk lid is original and does have some rust. There are rust spots on the door. The VIN # is intact on the dash and on both sides of the fender wells. I also have original door tag (not reproduction) but it is not currently on the door. Everything you see in the pics is what comes with the car. The motor was removed from a running 1967 Mustang donor vehicle over 5 years ago. It is a 289 2 barrel with a C4 transmission (all original and correct for this car) The motor is complete including alternator and all pulleys. The carb, distributor, and valve covers are the only items which have been removed. The motor was left outside for a few weeks the summer it was pulled, and then moved in the garage for the next 5 years. This IS A PROJECT and will require welding from someone with experience. It is a great solid start and fairly priced. I have too many projects and this one has to go now. The car comes with a clear title. Please ask any and all questions before bidding.
