Up for auction is a 1951 Ford Pickup Street Rod. This Street Rod was built by a well known builder in North Carolina. The build was carefully planned out and executed and professionally done. There were hundreds of man hours invested in the build of this truck to achieve the look and stance of this street rod.

The paint is SEM Hot Rod Black HR010. It is all steel except for the fender skirts and running boards. The body was channeled 5 inches over the chassis. (this drops the truck a full 5 inches from stock). The bed is custom built and is 4 inches shorter than the original. The bottom of the bed is S-10 and the sides are 16 gauge steel fabricated with square tubing on top. The original tailgate center was cut out and welded to match the bed with custom hinges and latches. Of course the fenders were moved forward. It has fiberglass running boards that were shortened about 4 inches as well. The taillights are 39 Ford.

The front clip and rear end is from a 90 Camaro and it has all new chassis from the clip back. The 350 engine is also from the donor 90 Camaro and was completely rebuilt with high performance parts. The transmission is 700R4 overdrive.

The interior is custom as well with Dolphin gauges, tilt steering, bucket seats, console, cold air conditioning, and it is very nice looking.

It has power steering, power disc brakes, EZ wiring, and TBI Air conditioning.

The engine runs smooth and strong and the transmission shifts perfectly and with the overdrive you can drive this truck down the interstate anywhere you want to go. It is fun to drive and mechanically sound.

The tricycle in the bed comes with the truck. It is a new “Road Hog Trike ", Chrome Trim, Chrome Wheels, Leather Tassels and a NEW Leather seat. This beautiful 1936 replica is a collectible for years to come, with the original Sky King trikes selling for over $3000. It is made of high quality steel and identical in every way to the Sky King of old.

As nice as this truck is, it is not perfect. I haven’t seen many that are perfect. The front tires rub a little in a real sharp turn. There is no safety neutral switch, therefore the truck will crank in gear. I am 6”1’ and it is a little tight on leg room with the 5 inch chassis channel. If you are a real tall person then this truck probably wouldn’t fit you real good. Don’t get me wrong as this is an excellent street rod truck, however I would rather let you know all the details up front and before you place your bids.
