We are in Reno , Nevada ...........This very restorable Ford Falcon Ranchero would easily be a $ 7500 restorable car during HOT AUGUST NIGHTS This 1964 Ranchero was the DAILY DRIVER of an elderly owner It was simply PARKED approx 10 years ago ... We have run this car thru our Nascar Fab Shop ... it is NEAR 100 % COMPLETE We have done some shop work ...so we could test drive car ... Details are listed below with pictures It simply needs some TLC (Tender Loving Care ) WHEN RESTORED ... THIS WILL BE A $ 25,000 car ... BID ON IT NOW ... BUY IT NOW for a very LOW RESERVE NOTE ... Ranchero has very straight body panels ... with minor rust . Body panels match very well ... ALL DOORS open and close as well as
all door locks work with key set ... All windows have NO CRACKS ... and are in very us-able condition. Both wind wing and both door
windows open and close with original window cranks . Rear tailgate and hood open and close with normal ease.
Ranchero has the CLASSIC LOOK that Ford created with the introduction of the this CLASSIC 1964 model.
Ranchero has minor rust in wheel-well opening of drivers side 1/4 panel ........... Passenger side is very clean .
The 1964 has the LOOK of the late 60's .......... Gone is the bathtub rounded Falcon Look ... In is the MUSCLE CAR LOOK
add a very RESPONSIVE 260 cubic inch V8 and a factory 4 speed and we have a REAL PERFORMANCE CAR that still
gets 15 to 20 MPG ! This car has a FULL SIZE FORD four speed ... not the lightweight English Ford Cortina 4 speed that
came with the 6 cylinder models ... ((( THIS IS A FACTORY V8 FACTORY FOUR SPEED CAR ... We have sold several of

Very CLASSIC Muscle car front end look ... Front bumper and Grill are in very STRAIGHT CONDITION ...
Ranchero has some rust in rear lip of drivers side 1/4 panel ........... VERY NORMAL for any 40 to 45 year old car !

Most of rust in bed is surface rust ... Probably from grass or leaves that were in bed of truck when we picked up ...
Very oper-able rear tailgate .... hinges and latches work fine .... 1-2 small exterior dents
Interior need replacing ....... We have a BENCH SEAT that comes with car ... however Ranchero needs CARPETS / HEADLINER
and door panels redone ... AL THESE ITEMS CAN BE LOCATED ON EBAY VERY REASONABLE ... We also have three of our
Nascar Dealers ( Dealers we sell from our Reno warehouse ) that own SPECIALTY FORD FALCON and MUSTANG parts facilities...
They have EVERY NUT / BOLT and WASHER to fit this car ...We will send your their contact information !
Ranchero instrument panel ... Odometer 116,810 miles however we were told approx 10,000 additional miles are on car .
Ranchero needs replacement sheet metal panels on both floor pan foot areas ... These panels are available on Ebay from
$ 59 and UP ... Normal installation time is approx 4 hours ... AGAIN ... replacement is not complex ... and is very NORMAL
for any 40 year old muscle car !
Our Nascar Fab shop ( during inspection prior to test driving ) detected REAR WHEEL SEALS were leaking ... Our Nascar shop :
After inspection our Nascar fab shop replaced plug wire set ( new ) Checked Spark plugs and installed new air cleaner element
fuel line , fuel filter as well as an oil change and new oil filter ... Checked coolant levels ( Antifreeze is good to -20 below )
After inspection our Nascar fab shop checked transmission and rear axle fliud levels ......Topped all off
All Items OK for our TEST DRIVE
After inspection our Nascar fab shop REBUILT CARBURETOR ... Choke was missing some parts so we orderd and
installed a new ELECTRIC choke .... Installed carburetor ...set to specs ... STARTS AND RUNS FINE !
Time as worn paint down to the factory PRIMER on tops of both front fenders ( Not rust ... factory primer is dark brown color )

OUR ROAD TEST ... Done Nov 2nd 2009 , Reno , Nevada
This Ranchero has been sitting at least 10 years ... It was a
BARN FIND .... ESTATE SALE from an elderly driver
After we inspected car and did some repairs to allow us to test drive
( car has not been liscensed for 10 years ... We have a CLEAR
TITLE however no plates are on car ...Nevada requires plates to
be surrendered when insurance is taken off car )
TEST DRIVE ... Both Dennis and Myself ( Richard Davis Sr ) test drove car ... We both agree on :
A) Ranchero starts and idles fine ............DRIVES LIKE IT WAS PARKED YESTERDAY !
B) Electric choke is adjusted and works fine
C) Clutch is adjusted / does not appear to slip
D) 4 Speed shifs into all 4 gears fine / Upshift and downshift plus reverse
E) Test drive .........approx 1/2 mile for each of us
F) Car steered fine ... Vey good brake pedal / approx 2" from top
Brakes work / no excessive pulling / no chattering / good stops
G) All lights work including turn signals
H) Brake light wiring and brake lights work / Need new Brake light switch
I ) Wipers work / need new blades / Horn present / does not work
J) Battery was replaced ... Ranchero starts like a 2005 car !
Overall test drive report ... This is an EXCELLANT RE-BUILD-ABLE CLASSIC !
You will be sorry if you let this one get away ... This is a COMPLETE RUNNING
CAR that can be purchased for less than most of the NON RUNNERS that are on Ebay !

Parked in driveway after our TEST DRIVE Nov 2nd 2009 They simply do not make CLASSIC CARS TODAY like we had in the 60's
We ran this Ranchero thru our Nascar Fab shop ... WHAT A SUPRISE ! After being parked for 10+ years ... We changed oil and filter ... Checked all Fluids (Trans and rear axle ) Put on a set of new plug wires ... Rebuilt Carb ...New fuel line and filter Installled one of our shop batteries ... Cranked engine (w/o coil wire) until we saw oil pressure ... Hooked up coil wire and TURNED INGITION KEY and ENGINE FIRED and RAN LIKE IT HAD ONLY BEEN PARKED YESTERDAY !
Tires look very servicable Front tires have had to have been recently replaced ( Front tires appear to have ZERO miles on them )
Look at tops of front fenders ... Brown areas's are the facory PRIMER Where white paint has worn thru ( not rust ) Notice how STRAIGHT Grille and Front Bumper is !
Notice "FIT" of all Doors , Hood and tailgate ! Doors lock with original key ... All latches ...All Windows and wind wings open and close fine ... ALL GLASS IS GOOD !
Rust is present on LIP of wheel well opening ... Drivers side ... ***************************** Wheels are the (then popular) 60's white spoke rims ... THIS CAR NEEDS ORIGINAL HUBCAPS or NEEDS A SET OF AMERICAN TORQUE THUST MAGS WITH THE RIGHT WHEELS THIS RANCHERO WILL LOOK LIKE YOU JUST DROVE IT OUT OF THE MOVIE AMERICAM GRAFFITI and DIRECT INTO MELS DRIVE IN FOR SATURDAY NIGHT CRUISE !
Tailgate rust is simply paint that is scratched thru ... Minor dents in tailgate from normal usage as a Ranchero ! BED CONDITION ... When we picked up Ranchero there was leaves / grass in bed . Both front floor-pan panels of bed are replace-able Panel (in bed) behind driver shows deeper rust (see below picture) than panel behind passenger side (in bed of Ranchero ) Wheel wells have NORMAL dents from daily use .
All lights work ... Generator Charges ... Needs brake light switch ( Brake lights work when we bypass switch )
SEE ABOVE PICTURE ... ranchero needs interior We have bench seat that needs to be recovered ... Carpets and headliner need replacement Door panels are rough ... Many are available on Ebay We also have three of our Nascar Customers we sell to that own / operate Mustang / Ranchero speciality shops that STOCK every nut / bolt and washer for these cars . We will gladly refer you direct to them so you can get BITS and PIECES from them !
We want to show you EVERYTHING ! Where moisture collected ( Lowest "valleys" in floor pan where DRIVERS FEET sit and where passenger feet set ... NEED REPLACEMENT ! These panels are about 15 x15 inches each and are VERY AVAILABLE ON EBAY ... We found these panels from $ 59.95 each . Our classic car buddies tell us replacement time is approx 4 hours . NOTE ... This type of floorpan replacement is common in 40+ year old CLASSIC and MUSCLE cars ... New panels are welded in with a wire feed welder. The replacment panels on Ebay are NEW SHEET METAL PARTS that are 100% replicas of the originals !
When we ran Ranchero thru our Nascar Fab shop we discovered leaky rear axle seals had WET the rear brakes with gear oil ... The natural REASON was a plugged rear axle vent ... It was plugged 100% ....We opened up vent on rear axle and installed new axle housing seals ... Bead blaster rear backing plates ...Installed new shoes and rebuilt both rear brake cylinders ...re-installed and adjusted and bled brakes ... ON TEST DRIVE TWO DAYS LATER ... EXCELLANT BRAKE PEDAL and BRAKES !
Since we wanted to TEST DRIVE Ranchero ... New plug wires ... Plugs ... Rebuilt carburetor ...new electric Choke TEST DRIVE TWO DAYS LATER ... Engine fired up and idled fine ...and test drive (approx 1/2 mile) Ranchero drove and shifted (all 4 gears plus reverese) LIKE IT HAD ONLY BEEN PARKED A FEW DAYS !
