You are bidding on 1971 Ford Ranchero Squire. I will describe this car to the best of my knowledge, but please contact me with any and all questions BEFORE bidding. The car had what i was told is the original drivetrain 351 Cleveland "H" code 2bb,automatic FMX transmission, front power disc brakes, air conditioning, clock, and power steering. It is a factory"V" code pewter metallic car with vermillion interior. The seat has been recovered at some point and there is a panel addaed to the bottom of each door panel that i don't believe is factory. The a/c doesn't work. it is complete minus the condenser. the hideaway headlights do not work either because there is a small canister that sits behind thevalence panel that is missing. the large tank behind the fender is still there. The old man that owned the car before me bumped a fence post and crunched the passenger side fender. The driver's side fender has a rust spot in it on the bottom, but it is isolated to this area. I AM INCLUDING A NICE PAIR OF USED SQUIRE FENDERS AND A FRONT VALENCE WITH THE SALE OF THE CAR. they are rust free California fenders. The truck spent it's life in CA on a ranch, so it has some dents. i tried to include photos of these. There is also an area in the floor board where it looks like it was jacked up improperly,so it is dented(see photo) but other than that the floors are good:no rust. As I was taking the photos for this auction i noticed that the front corner of each door has a rust hole. It;s not too big,but i don't know they are repairable. The drivers door has had the latch welded and repaired at some point; it functions ok,but i would get another door if you are making a show car. There is a couple of very small and light bubbles just starting at the back of the drivers side quarter right behind the wheel. They are difficult to see in the picture. The rust you see in the bed is surface rust. It is also where the original paint color still remains. The car has had one repaint in an incorrect silver color. I started to peel the woodgraining from the side( it was an incorrect wood applique;probably from J.C. whitney- the correct wood is available from Stripeman.com.) The car runs good,it starts right up. I have driven it a couple of hundred miles, but it needs to have the forty year old suspension and brakes gone through. the brakes are ok,but the master cylinder has a leak at the line inlet. All of the wood banding that i have is on the car. i don't have the tailgate pieces. The only area that the wood seems to be damaged is on the crashed fender. It is cracked but not broken in half. I tried to describe everything that i know is wrong with the truck, BUT, I IMPLORE YOU, please contact me if you have any other questions and before bidding! This will make a great truck for someone and considering the rarity, will be a good investment . If you wish you may come view the vehicle in person. The truck is for sale locally as well and i have the right to end the auction at any time.Thank you and happy bidding!!! ********************************************PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS....
