FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: We have for sale a very nice Street Rod for a bargain price. This 1948 Ford two door sedan is in great condition, it looks great, drives great, stops great and is ready to roll. It was built with all the good street rod stuff, a Chevy 350 engine, turbo 350 transmission, cold air conditioning, Mustang 2 style front-end "FatMan", rack and pinion power steering, power brakes, disc in the front, nice tweed interior and more.

EXTERIOR: Shinny dark plumb paint with no dents, dings, rust, only some low touched up chips. The wheels are nice Billet Specialties and the tires good radials. The chrome and stainless are in good condition. Glass is good "its clear".

INTERIOR: Very nice tweed cloth interior that’s in very nice condition. I can only find one flaw in the material, a very tiny place on the edge of the drivers side.

MECHANICAL: The Chevrolet 350 engine runs strong with no smoke, no rattles and no leaks (it has lots of chrome and is clean and neat). The radiator is a large Walker aluminum, "the car does not overheat in hot weather with the air on". The turbo transmission shifts good with no slip. The brakes stop straight, they are power with disc in the front. The steering is very good with no loose parts, the car drives like it should. The lights work, including the turn signals and brake lights. The electrical system is 12 volt with a high out-put one wire alternator. Gauges and such work.

BOTTOM LINE: This is a nice Street Rod that can be driven just as it is with out spending a dime. Its not perfect, it has been driven, but taken care of and something myself as a car restorer will be proud to enter the local car show with. It has a few chips that have been touched up in the paint, one little place in the front seat. It’s a bargain for $16,800, we are asking $19,800 on the local market and the lowest we will take is $16,800. I just don’t have time or want to play the bargain down game. You know where you stand on the price and you have gotten $3,000 off the asking price.

OWNERSHIP: My friend Danny Pryor owns this car, I’m just selling it for him. He does not like computers, emails or the modern way to sell a car.

TRADES: I will consider all trades, but 1. You have to bring the car here to Athens for me to look at. 2. You have to price the car at today prices, not boom-time prices or what you have in it price. 3. I will study pictures if you send them first and tell you the hard facts. 4. This 48 Street Rod is priced on the bottom and will sale, so trading is not likly.

My name is Ron Watson and I live in the beautiful hills of East Tennessee in the same town of Athens. I am a retired auto mechanics instructor and Army helicopter mechanic. I worked on Chinook helicopters in the late 60s and was an instructor in Tennessee Technology Center in Athens for many years. I am now living my dream restoring and improving classic cars with my son Keith. We have a fully equipped garage at my home, thus no big overhead. We are Tennessee licensed dealers, if you do more than 5 cars a year in Tennessee this is required. Don’t worry, if you live out of the state we collect no taxes and no fees.

LOCATION OF THE CAR: Athens, Tennessee with a zip code of 37303,

(this is east Tennessee below Knoxville).

INSPECTIONS: Inspections are welcome, but have to be done before the end of the listing.

TRANSPRT: Ebay Motors has a link on the listing for transporter, you can get a  instant quote with my zip code of 37303. I recommend McNutt Auto Transport Service, their number during office hours is 800-755-2324.

PAYMENT: I have had a counterfeit certified check so I will be very careful. Call! Wire transfer from your Federal Reserve Bank to mine is the safest for both of us.

I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME AND FOR ANY REASON!

THANK YOU! Ron Watson    my cell 423-506-8987 (if I don’t answer leave a voice mail and I will call you back, I don’t answer if I’m driving or with someone).
