about |
|
This Thunderbird belongs to a good
friend of the family here. Tony purchased this T-bird a while back to
add to his collection of classic vehicles. As things go, sometimes we
have to let our treasures change hands when the bills need paid; just
the cycle of business. :) So, with regret, Tony is letting go of this
incredible automobile.
This is a show stopping frame
off restomod '64 Thunderbird immaculately finished by a local Colorado
family who specialized in vehicle restorations. This was their very last
accomplishment while in business and a testament to the 'old schoolers'
talents. You're looking at a nut and bold custom built car oozing with
the class just not present in modern vehicles. It maintains the old
school charm and has all the functionality and drivability of a modern
vehicle. Thousands of hours of work and talent have been put into this
car and it will be offered at a fraction of replacement cost. |
|
exterior |
|
This car is simply better than new.
The body is unequivocally flawless. It maintains mirror like luster with
very deep lacquer throughout. I feel silly in mentioning that it's been
garaged since restoration and never driven in the rain. Every bit of
chrome on the vehicle both inside and out was removed and re-chromed,
all the stainless removed and polished. The glass is all new and was a
specialty of one of the family members that built the car. All moldings
and rubber have been replaced or are new. Tires are new, wheels are
perfect and you could eat off the undercarriage if the car were back on
the rotisserie. I pretty well have to let the photos do the talking for
the exterior, the car is nothing short of award winning. |
|
interior |
|
The interior of the vehicle is a
mix of classic styling and modern creature comforts. The air
conditioning is R134 compliant and blows ice cold. It has functional
aftermarket cruise control, all power options, and an incredible sound
system with a Clarion head unit and JL Sub neatly tucked in the trunk.
This car is quiet as a mouse driving down the road, not so much as a
squeak. Everything is perfectly sealed, shimmed, bushing'd and smooth.
The crank quarter glass windows open like they're on ball bearings, the
center consul is tight and clicks into place. Every latch, knob, and
button is tight and affixed properly and not so much as an air vent
doesn't operate better than new.
The devil is in the details with
these old guys and every inch of the car has been gone over inside.
Everything is neatly detailed, polished, or re-done without a scratch to
speak of. I'm not real familiar with the older cars so it was fun to see
some of the nuances that are no longer present on cars; the sliding
steering wheel giving ease of entry, the 'thru-car' air vents to vent
cigarette smoke, the finishes are a kick too. They just don't build them
like this anymore. |
|
mechanic |
|
As with the finishing, the
mechanics are all but brand spakin' new: bushings, tie-rod ends, shocks,
ball joints, linkages, springs, brakes, ring + pinion, gas tank, all
lines, EVERYTHING is new or redone. This car drives as comfy and tight
as a new car, far more efficient and user friendly than originally
designed.
The motor is a built 351 Windsor
with a GT40 type intake, headers, upgraded ignition, many performance
mods. The transmission is an overdrive 4 speed and
this vehicle achieves an honest 23-24 MPG freeway with updated fuel
injection. It has a mild cam, idles smooth but still has some
chug-a-chug grunt. The exhaust is very tasteful and quiet but meaty.
Front brakes are updated disks,
rears still maintain drums. The running gear is 3.73 ratio. Everything
is impeccably tight and professionally built. This is a drivers' car.

About Us |
|
Masters Collection, located in
sunny Parker, Colorado has been in business for 15 years and sold over 9,500
vehicles. We're a Mom, Pop + Son shop, family owned and operated. Michael
Alex (Pop) has been in the automobile business for nearly 40 years and Son
Tim has been selling vehicles on EBay for 9 years now. We've done over a
thousand transactions on Ebay and maintain a 100% positive feedback! We make
it easy, great values and no hassles. |
|
Vehicle Inspection + Service |
|
Buyer reserves right to an inspection
before purchase is finalized. We
service everything we sell and make sure our vehicles are safe. We're not
perfect, but we're darn good. We don't sell new or perfect cars. We sell
good cars at exceptional value. We change the oil and filter in every
vehicle, diesels get new fuel filters too. We know you expect us to be
reasonable and we expect the same of you. |
|
Payment |
|
We're easy to get along with,
but we need to know if you need special payment accommodation before you
purchase. Our terms are flexible, so if you need time to either pickup
the vehicle or extended payment terms all you need is ask.
Fine print:
Successful bidder must contact us within 2 days of the close of the auction,
and must submit a deposit of $500 within 3 days. Remaining balance is to be
paid within 10 days of the close of the auction. We accept Paypal (For Down

with any other offers. We're very easy to get along with. |
|
Delivery/Shipping |
|
Pick it up: We
regularly pick up people at Denver International Airport (DEN) free of
charge and bring them to the lot for pickup. The airport is
about 35 minutes from Parker. We do not offer pickup on Sunday!! There
are no additional charges for pickup.
Ship it:
We have shipped over 400 vehicles with Diamond Express Transportation
without a single problem. We can ship COD or work it into the financing
and/or deal. We don't make any money on shipping. Our contact's name
is Jason or Joe @ 719.593.7770. Most quotes are between $550 and $750
depending on the size of the vehicle and the distance. Shipping usually
takes about 10 days from the time we are paid to delivery at your door.
Kansas, Wyoming, New Mexico and Salt lake cost roughly $350-$400 for smaller
vehicles, slightly more for trucks. If you want an Excursion to go 1900
miles to up-state New York don't expect a $500 quote. We'd be happy to get
you a quote by calling us at 303.841.5377. |

|

Dealer
Disclosure (more fine print you should probably read) |
|
We do our very best to
describe the vehicles as they really are and the options they have, though
everyone has a different opinion of what a condition might be. Please
examine all the photos carefully and read the full text of the
advertisement. Masters reserves the right to sell the vehicle at any
time before a deposit has been left on the vehicle, even when the reserve
has been met. Masters also reserves
the right to end the auction early. We sell many of our vehicles before the
end of the auction. Feel free to call with any questions.
It is our experience and
our volume that allows us to sell vehicles at lower prices than most
businesses on EBay or off, but please know that the phrase "You get what you
pay for." is constant in both the real world and the car business. All
vehicles are sold "AS IS" unless otherwise specified. Local residents of
Colorado must pay taxes at our dealership, but will not have to pay them
again when going to register the vehicle. There is a $199 transfer and
handling fee for local residents only. It costs us more money to sell
vehicles locally and this fee is non-negotiable. Out of state buyers are charged no
extra fees at all, what you bid is what you pay.
Again, all vehicles are for
sale locally, and before the end of the auction. Just because you are the
high bidder doesn't mean you have the vehicle reserved. EBay allows us the
option of ending auctions early because all vehicle are for sale at any
point during the auction. If you are concerned, the buy it now option is
always a good idea. In very rare instances, (once or twice in over a
thousand transactions), the vehicle is being sold locally while someone has
pressed the buy it now. You're welcome to call before you bid, we thank you,
Happy EBaying! |
