1970 Ford Torino Marti report
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
I found this car sitting in a garage since 1988. It had been stored there and non opped with DMV in 1990. They just quit driving it. I bought it from the original owner and it still original paint. Never touched. I find that this is one of if not the rarest of Torinos. The "M" code, 4 speed GT convertible. This is the last year for the 11.0 to 1 compression 351 Cleveland motor. Ford made 39 of these in 1971 so I am guessing there were somewhere around 30 to 50 made in 1970. I took the car to my shop and within two days had it running and driving. The motor is the 351 Cleveland with the 4 speed transmission. The motor does smoke but the trans is very good. The car is equipped with the Cleveland engine, four speed transmission, power disc brakes, power top, tinted glass, glass back window, tachometer, rally sport mirrors and rally wheels. As you can see from the photos, the condition is all original but in need of restoration. There are dents and dings in the body and the mechanics will need rebuilding. There is one spot of rust on the lower right quarter panel. The floors and trunk pans are real nice. It still has a Firestone Super Sport Wide oval tire for the spare. It will have to be trailored but can drive up on a transporter. The owner could not find the title so I have a Statement of Facts and a Bill of Sale. If need be, I can apply for lost title and probably get one from DMV within 10 to 14 days. If you have any other questions or need more photos, please call Bruce weekday mornings at 916-652-6852. If you want to see the car, I am about 18 miles from Sacramento. If you need help making shipping arrangments, I can do that. On Nov-02-09 at 17:29:03 PST, seller added the following information: Hi. Just added more photos of the underside and chassis. There is no rust in the rockers or frame. The floors are real clean and free of rust. The only spot is the lower right quarter panel as noted in the ad. This has been a California car all its life as seen by the very late black and gold license plates. On Nov-07-09 at 07:42:22 PST, seller added the following information: The last photo is a copy of the MARTI report. It is a 100% match to the car and lists all options and accessories, where it was built and when. The car is showing 103,000 miles on the odometer. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
